No. It is like never dining out. Then deciding to go to a restaurant for the first time. Then you pick one that is of your same culture so you know the food. Then proceeding to trash all other types of food/culture based on your first dining out experience. :blood It makes you look like an ass hat.
Who are these "Blacks"? Boxing is a STAPLE in the Black community. I am not saying it isn't in some other communities, but it is a pretty universal love among Black folks. So finding a Black guy who "just started watching boxing" is pretty damned hard. You guys are making that dumb crap up. I know a ton of Asian guys. Many of them Pinoys. They could care less about boxing.
yeah the youtube pacfans are too embarassing to even bother with I got called a mexicunt for just saying "Jorge Solis gave Pacman more fits than he was expected to"
Just accept that there are people who follow the athlete and not the sport. That is true for every nationalities. No surprise here.
Maybe the US based Filipinos. You've never been to the Philippines, I bet. There's a long history of Filipinos supporting boxing. This is what I dont like. If you're Filipino or from the Philippines, some people automatically think you have only started watching boxing since Pacquiao became famous. Boxing has been here since the US captured the country from Spain, back in the early 1900s-early 1910's. Filipinos have been doing western style boxing earlier than any other asian country. We've had world champions since the 1920s. We've had weekly boxing TV shows since the 1960's, when local television was in its infancy. ("FISTORAMA") We've idolised all the greatest boxing stars since the start, especially since TV. (most people have not seen the older fights from the 20's, 30's 40's because film wasnt readily available)
Thats not true at all. I know pleanty of black people who dont watch boxing at all, and even more black people who really only know about mayweather and do nothing but spew 24/7 bull****
good analogy, but I don't think you're seriously going to tell me that no other nationality could ever act that way.
If I'm not mistaken, it's the older Mayweather haters who are not Filipinos who have started the "crackhead" diss. Those people who have disliked Mayweather since the early 2000s or earlier. Filipinos are not so familiar with "crack". We dont have crack here. We know crystal meth, we know weed, we know Xtacy, some rich people know coke. But crack never really reached the Philippines. They only learned of that word because of the older Mayweather haters who are based in the US, who are most probably not Filipinos.
Oh I know that boxing is big in Asia. I have spent time in Thailand, Korea, and Japan. Hell combat sports in general are huge, kickboxing, muay thai, mma, etc... There is a THRIVING boxing scene in Asia. It is pretty obvious when a person from PI gets on raging about Pac. Anyway, why would they rage here and not in their native tongue? The people that we Americans/English speakers "engage" with are usually American based who honestly have never really followed boxing. Again just because a person is a ******* and Filipino doesn't mean that they represent all Filipinos on the planet. When I said "Black" I should have been more clear and said, "American Blacks". Honestly until the other sports were desegregated Boxing was the ONLY sport to actually be paid for by Blacks. My bust on not being clear. By Black I mean American Black. By Pinoy I mean American/English based Pinoys.
Oh we do do that. People, especially older guys, on barbershops, or their favorite chill out bench in the corner. Or while sparring their fighting roosters during the weekends. When having a drinking session. When watching a live international fight every Sunday mid morning. But it's good to be able to talk online too. It's an option we are free to use.
