I think majority are just using their "online personality". Most would say stupid things just to cause reaction, they probably dont even beleive in what they are saying. You only need to check the lounge, I doubt many of them are actually that weird in real life or would say **** in front of someone.

Im pretty sure many here are pretty cool people and you would get on with them if you ever meet them. You might have different views but I doubt it would always end in heated debate.

But yeah there are naturally stupid people out there, just ignore them. Few comments is more than enough, some goes on forever like eze like he never get tired

This is true, I see alot of them on youtube and I feel embarassed.

But then again most youtubers are idiots. It is sad that youtube let them get away with those kind of racist ****. I doubt they care much though, its them idiots who brings the business for youtube.

It does work both ways however there seems to be more bandwagon Pac fans than the ones pulling for Floyd. I've been to a Pac fight in Vegas and I've seen a **** ton of Filipino women in their 40's who look like they hardly speak English. I am absolutely willing to bet they do not know who Sergio Martinez is or can tell the difference between southpaw and orthodox.

Obnoxious, confrontational, naive fans are a waste of space. I've gotten into many altercations with Filipinos and Asians in general who are complete cumbags. It's one reason why I don't watch a Pacquiao fight at my sister's house. Her husband loves Pac and he brings over a ton of die hard Pac fans whenever he fights. I've gotten **** for not rooting for Pac. Some even go as far as acting hostile due to the fact that I'm Asian and I don't like Pacquiao. I guess to them it's a form of betrayal which is absolutely nuts. Dumbasses will confuse preference with hatred. I know it's not his fault but a lot of times Pac's obsessive fans make me develop a huge disgust for him. It's cool to be proud of someone doing great things for your country but damn! Some people act like certain athletes put food on their table and pay their rent.

Sometimes nationalism can escalate to an unhealthy level. I don't base my following on a fighter's origin but rather on performance and the way he carries himself.

90% of the Philippines is pretty "normal".

Zamboanga is a modern, provincial city. It's good there, I heard.

But yes, the culture down south is a bit like Texas. They love their guns.

The little islands in the deep, deep south, (mostly muslim residents) near the Malaysia/Sabah border seem to be the most dangerous.

It is very remote, and you really have to go out of your way to be in that area.

Very few outside people go there to visit. No real reason to.

Who are you to say that blacks are superior to Filipinos when it comes to the boxing fan base? Don't even deny that there are n00b boxing fans that happen to be black. If you're going to say that boxing is a "universal love among black folks", then it's the same thing with Filipinos. The Philippines has a rich history in boxing, too. And who cares about the Pinoys you know? Are you going to rationalize them?

that's what's wrong with people today. a black guy can't root for a filipino guy without being called out.

You can hate on some of the fans, don't blame the fighter.

  14. Pacquiao's performance has disappointed you or the way he carries himself? :blood

Nah what I meant was, pinoys can get pretty violent when you **** them off. Heck were I used to live, best mates would stab each other or smash bricks on their best mate head when they get drunk. I used to see enough of them when I was there. At one time one guy got bullied, he went home and came back with a machine gun and a grenade, ****ing nuts.

One minutes they are having fun drinking beer, next minute they are killing each other because someone told a bad joke

This is in manila, taguig to be exact.
