Arum nixed Matthysse, and we all know that Arum is screwing Pac. Just wish Pac grew a pair and has that audit done.

Absolutely agree that in terms of timing it's a dick move from Pacquiao, haven't really been following the whole situation between Roach and Pacquiao though. Was more just that I think he does still have the drawing power and ability to headline cards.

Disagree on the analogy with the team behind the fighter though, as important as they are, a boxer's fans will always follow the boxer not the team.

I didn't feel that Pacquiao was robbed. That said, regardless of whether he won or lost to Horn, he's an ATG and still easily the biggest draw on that card. If they didn't have him topping the bill, I don't blame him for walking.

Yeah but I've always been a stickler for championships meaning something in boxing, this isn't about Manny personally, everybody on here can vouch for having seen me post countless times about how 10-rounders ought NEVER headline over championship fights, nor should a fight in which either/both participants happen to be "stars" be granted 12-round status if neither of them has any hardware to offer and the rankings don't justify at least making it an eliminator. I resist the idea of special treatment for "celebrities". If you're coming in empty-handed, then you're fighting your way back up, period. No lifetime achievement breaks, no bonus consideration for putting more asses in seats - if you don't have a title or ranking, you don't get to headline over people who do. If you feel you got robbed, that's a shame, but it should motivate you, it means you have your work cut out for you and reason to be hungry to climb your way back up the bill.

I don't even necessarily think he's being a diva. Dude's like only 50% interested in boxing and I believe his familiarity and gratefulness for the sport are the only reasons he's still even interested. He said something once after his "retirement" that pretty much said it all. He said that he "felt lonely" without boxing.

    I agree.

Manny could be calling his own shots with the PBC and fight Thurman and Spence on his own PPVs.

I don't think ESPN signed a big deal with Top Rank and ESPN after the Pacquiao-Horn numbers came in last year to see Manny Pacquiao NOT FIGHT on the network.

Arum better get on his knees and start sucking because Manny's the key to his whole deal.

Crawford-Horn isn't a PPV fight. Arum just thought he could throw Manny on the card to get the boost it needed and make people think Crawford was a draw.

And it blew up in Bob's face.

Pac needs to retire. I don't care to ever see him in the ring again.

Because then he would feel he owed Floyd a phone call. "Err...hey, this is Manny. So... turns out... you were *deep sigh* ...right :ohno"

Arum is THE worst thing in boxing right now! I don't wanna hear the Haymon haters saying a DAMN thing, because PBC and Showtime is carrying the sport right now.

The fact that Pac is gone from the card, and it's STILL on PPV is a joke!

Bob had a PERFECT opportunity to expose Crawford to a national audience on ESPN over a name guy in Horn. It would have had attracted excellent viewership on ESPN and further bolstered Crawford's mainstream recognition.

But noooooo, Arum HAS TO put up the paywall.

Pleeeaaasseee Grim Reaper, take this old sonuvabitch outta here already!

    Somebody's sensitive.

Pac is old, washed up, unmotivated, and there's no matchups I wanna see him in. Well, I WOULD like to see him against Crawford, but since he clearly doesn't want that fight... I don't care about him anymore.

You guys need to chill the hell out. Arum is probably gonna package Pacquiao/Lomachenko on the same card somehow.
