For Oscar, it's about cashing in on what could well be the single most lucrative fight in history (from a $$$ standpoint).

    His biggest payday ever.

And he can still fight a bigger guy afterwards.

For Pac, the payday is also his biggest ever, three or four fights worth in one night.

If he loses, no big deal.

He drops back down and carries on with his career.

And for Pac, the added bonus: If he wins (IMO, about 30 % chance), his stock rises immensely and he's assured HOF and ATG status.

And he's still got the rest of his career.

For the fans, despite all the belly-aching, it will be an intriguing match-up.

(In spite of all that, I would rather have had Oscar face Antonio, and Pac face JMM yet again).

30% chance is far too high.

the public will be fooled into believe this is a 60/40 fight, when really its a 90/10 fight.

as fans we should be upset that the wrong fight is happening, just like mayweather fighting hatton and not cotto, but we also have the luxury of fattening our wallets in spite.

dlh will be easy money. just like floyd/hatton, there will be threads popping up all over the place about tactics and will and god and heart, but in the end, it doesnt matter. dlh will crush him just as you would have expected the first time they mentioned this possibility.

dlh is a near lock, ill be betting huge on him, hopefully -200.

the pacquiao that emerges this fight and goes back to fight a lighter weight will be washed-up. he'll face a faded hatton instead of the real threat jmm, take the money and run.

dlh can seriously hurt him, its unlikely hell ever be the same. he already has a lot of ring mileage on him. even tho jm marquez is older, if they were to fight again in the spring, he'd be the fresher fighter.

i give pac the same chance that i gave hatton: behind all this trash talk and posturing about money, they actually like each other behind the scenes and are working together to make as muich money as possible. thus it wont turn into a real bout with real passion, more of a glorified sparring session, where neither gets hurt.
