While being the cash cow. You gotta respect that. If GGG wants another fight, he deserves it. They are 1-1 in my book.
The first fight was a draw and Pac wasn't even a cash cow then. From 2008-2012 they fought 3 times, and the first one was an SD to Pac. He could have moved on. So my point is valid. I'm not criticizing Canelo anyway if you are taking it that way.
The first fight was not a SD for Pac, it was DRAW. Pacquiao made JMM wait four ****ing years!!!! The second fight was a very controversial SD win for Pacquiao and JMM for the rematch had to wait three years!!! Then Pacquiao made JMM wait another year for the fourth fight, JMM was 39 ****ing years old. The only way there will be a rematch is if the casuals demand it. If the casuals don't demand it there will be no need.
I didn't say the first fight was a draw. I said the first fight in the 2008-2012 span, read carefully. He fought the man 4 times overall and JMM was still a competitive fighter before every fight. He was not shot. Sure there was a waiting time but it's not like Manny fought bums in between. In fact, his competition was much stiffer than JMM's, who was just still trying to be relevant to be in the Pacquiao sweepstakes.
I think Canelo and Golovkin should have a third go at it as well. Pretty sure everyone does (aside from wishing that the two bouts went down differently and more decisively so there was no need for it).
Marquez moving up for the trilogy fight was seen as a massive joke back then. People seem to have forgotten that.
