Holyfield is right. Mayweather fighting Pacquiao after 2 year lay off is not smart. I believe that the Mayweathers are belittling Pacquiao but almost everyone acknowledge his talents and skills.

They're just talking smack when it comes to Pac to promote a future fight, they know Pacquiao is a great/dangerous fighter. It doesn't require serious boxing knowledge to see that.

I know that Mayweather Jr and probably his uncle is trying to promote a future fight with Pacquiao but not Mayweather Sr isn't.

Anyway I don't believe that this fight is going to be made anytime soon. I hope I'm wrong because Pacquiao has only 1 or 2 fights left.

Sr. has always spoken crap about Pacquiao, I don't really know why. You can see interviews from like 3 or 4 years ago and he still talks smack about Pac whenever he's mentioned. Could be jealousy from Roach's success there, still he cracks me up in his interviews.

This fight will most likely happen if both are successful in their next fights. There will be TOO much pressure from the public/media on both guys for them to ignore it and both already admitted they have that in plan so let's see how it goes.

Quote: "Lewis said the Filipino reminded him of himself in the way he prepares for each fight."

Does he mean the way he prepared for the first Rahman fight?

i hope that's the case. i get a headache from just thinking how they'd split the purse. both want a bigger piece of the pie. i dont know how the promoters will pull this off

Mayweather refused to fight Pac. Roach wanted that fight. I don't know it it will ever happen. Pac could beat Mayweather and Mayweather knows it. He could lose also, but it would be a risk for Mayweather.

I hope so! If Pacquiao decides to retire after the Cotto match then it will take another year before Pacquiao (after he loses the election) can fight again.

Evander generally says things about other fighters I find completely off the wall.

There is a rumor circulating around that Pacquiao is actually one of Evander's many children. I'm not sure if it is true or not, it certainly could be.
