Arum said he knew “nothing” about Sunday’s suprising announcement that the Juan Manuel Marquez-Floyd Mayweather HBO PPV bout of July 18 has been canceled.

Has been any communication from GBP indicating that they would push JMM aside in order to put Mayweather directly into the Super Fight against Pacman?

“No, none, nothing along those lines,” Arum said without hesitation. “No such indication at all from anybody.”

Arum did say he got his Manny marching orders from the Pinoy Idol himself when they sat at ringside Saturday night at Madison Square Garden after Top Rank charge Miguel Cotto retained his WBO welterweight crown by holding off Joshua Clottey on a split decision.

“Manny told me what to do,” Arum said. “Manny told me,‘Go ahead, make that fight.’ So it will go Nov. 14 at the MGM Grand here in Vegas.”

I'm not going to get excited yet, since they still have to make it happen for real, but knowing these two fighters they won't hesitate in getting a deal done.
    Can't wait for this one.

If the fight is at a catch weight of 144 I might pick Pacman by TKO. If it is at 147 I'll take Cotto by TKO. :good

Hope it gets made. It would be a great fight.

Pac KO even at 147. I changed my opinion after last night. Cotto gets hit way too much.

Before the Clottey fight I would have picked Cotto at welterweight. Now I give the edge to Pacquiao.
