Again, a matter of opinion... a flawed one. You'd be surprised what public pressure can do to "pissing contests". If it went on record that Floyd and pac agreed to terms on current roadblocks(that would including arum in on the promotion) you think a May 5th date won't be amenable? Pac carries the load of expectations of 100 million people, you think he'd risk looking like a fool? Come the **** on turbotedious....

""These are my specifications for this fight regarding blood testing. I have offered to give a blood sample the day of the announcement of the fight at the (press conference). I have offered to give a blood sample 30 days before the fight. I am willing to give blood immediately after the fight is over inside my dressing room. I am also willing to give urine tests at anytime, anywhere, every day leading up to the fight," Pacquiao explained in a prepared statement, outlining his original offer to take 3 non-random blood tests. "The truth is taking blood out of my body does not seem natural to me and mentally I feel it will weaken me if blood is taken from me just days before the fight. If Floyd Mayweather Jr. does not accept these terms [then] my promoter will find me another fight for March the 13," he added."

I wonder what Manny planned to do in those 30 days?.?

It's a lot of opinion. And the thread title has 2010 in it. Leave if you don't want to discuss.

If you want to open a thread to discuss what is happening in 2012 as far as negotiations and what fell off, feel free.

    It's really really really simple:

    Floyd: Take a drug test
    Manny: Yes

    We have a fight.

How is this difficult to understand? How are we even debating it?

Manny refused to take a RANDOM drug test... He wanted a 30 day cut off.

Floyd was taking the same tests. There was no advantage either.

Floydie has a history of doing so and he also has written a book in the art of ducking.

Floyd had no right to accuse Pac of cheating and then expect him to bend over and take his tests.

Worst part is that Pac still agreed to some of the most stringent testing in the history of the sport at the time, but Floyd said no.

I always get a kick out of this type of response.

TT is 100% right (didnt read the whole thread so I do no think Pac was on anything if that was said) But the test that they agreed to now would have made the fight almost 3 years ago. Arum is the one who did not want the fight to happen. PERIOD . . . I really do not how anyone could argue that point
