holy sh*t why do people go on these numbers? absolutly no accuracy OR precision. I'm not going into a debate about calves here.
I sure you have the real **** on this issue. lol I agree it is hard to debate hard cold numbers even when they go against your position. lol
It's on every tale of the tape I've seen. Even the Marquez/Mayweather one has 15" calves for Mayweather. I guess it's not accurate if it doesn't follow what you've said. :rofl
The eyes can be so deceiving. The amount of muscle Mayweather puts on himself definitely makes him appear larger, but I am telling you... if you stripped all the muscle and tissue off Mayweather and Pacquiao's bodies, and all that was left were the bones, Pacquiao's skeleton would be larger. You can see it slightly when comparing the two in pics. Look how far out Pacquiao's rib cage extends from his body compared to Mayweather. "The greatest trick Pacquiao has pulled is making his opponents believe he is smaller than them."
pac is smaller but has bigger skeletal frame. it doesn't mean though that he is really bigger than the 147 pounders. you can't say those taller men that pac fought are smaller than him. he just have thicker skeletal frame. in a weight class, we can clearly see these differences in sizes due to varying physical attributes like bone structure, muscle mass, and height. everything adds up but in boxing, reach and height are more advantageous.
Floyd is much thicker through the torso though. He has 31 inch waist and he's not fat. Pac has a 28 inch waist. He's clearly the thicker man.
I think the biggest advantage of having a freakishly large skeletal frame is you can put on more muscle, tissue, weight without losing speed, power, or stamina because your skeleton can handle it.
He weighs more though..... Manny does have the bigger wrists and probably ankles. But Floyd is thick through the waist and not to mention he has the longer frame.
