Cotto's only loss was to margarito whom was thought to have cheated which resulted to a questionable win.. Cotto's latest fight where he showed a lot of heart by fighting a dangerous opponent in clottey with a huge gash and virtually fighting with one eye yet he still pulled out a win.. Is it not appropriate to say that "this time pacquiao has surely bitten off more than he can chew"?. I think this is the right time and the right fight to say something like that..
the answer is maybe I feel like he did some feel the complete opposite thats what makes this a great fight! the fans are the winners
Exactly :good It's just really hard to say for sure what will happen The great thing about Pac's recent fights is that the match-ups are really unpredictable. 90% of the time, the results (who wins and how) are pretty far-off compared to the predictions of many.
yeah i can't wait...pac has proven me wrong twice. i honestly thought he would have trouble w/ both odlh and ricky, so until he proves otherwise, i can't say he's in too deep of water fighting a welter at a catchweight
hmm says... maybe... my friend pointed out... he said he was looking at Pac's record and after at least 10 wins or so he gets a defeat or something bad happens...meaning he's near to getting a defeat...but will most likely retire before that happens lol... Sound's gay but could be if you are superstitious.
IMO Cotto didn't look his best in his last fight. I think the loss to Margarito took a little bit of the warrior out of him. Manny by KO. He is too fast and powerful for Cotto. Cotto has a glass chin too and Manny is going to shatter it.
Yep I'm Cotto fan but for me this fight is totally unpredictable. Cotto is too easy to hit sometimes but showed good chin against Clottey. Pac is like a whirlwind. And his in and out strategy can give anyone problems. Cotto can box and can hit to the body like no other. I hope the fight lives to the expectations an exceed them like the second Pac-JMM fight. And I hope Cotto wins
i think the power advantage belongs to cotto, did you see the jab that knocked clottey down in the first round?. i bet you could not see those kind of jabs very often..
Manny has bitten off more this time...I think that is why they are trying to fight Cotto with one hand tied behind his back.....one stipulation they are trying to push through is a 153 lb Cotto on fight night. After watching what Morales and Marquez did to his body and staggered him....Manny will soon realize he is fighting a legitimate welterweight!!!!
I'm on the fence now. I think 145 favors Cotto. But obviously Pac has not lost any power as he's moved up in weight. And he's a very fast and accurate punching southpaw, who has the ability to jump in, strike, and then get out of danger. I'm going to go with Pac, but I would'nt be surprised if Cotto broke him down with body shots.
Cotto's Jab is not going to be very important in this fight. I think he needs to rely on his left hook to the body and head. Typically the right hand is vital against southpaws but Cotto's is nothing great.
