With so many of you armchair experts crying about how a urine sample doesn't detect this or that, how a blood sample is much more effective etc, let's back the **** up for a minute. Sr started these basless accusations. That's what they are, accusations. Now we don't need to talk about sr and the type of substances he was dealing with because we all know that already. The point is he has no proof. Pac has passed every single drugs test, 100% clean every time. If the people in charge (the athletic commision, not Floyd sr) are satisfied, why should Manny have to go the extra mile to satisfy the idiot that started these accusations? Because he's so good? When did Floyd sr become in charge of drugs testing in boxing? Even if it's possible that some drugs may not be detected, the same would then be true for every single athlete on this planet. Are we to assume that everyone is guilty untill proven innocent? Or is Manny just a special case? I would love for this fight to take place but if Arum is telling the truth about the demands from Team Mayweather then it's ridiulous. Tell them to go **** themselves and fight someone else. Listen, remind yourself who started this rumour in the first place. Does he have any proof? No. Does he have a motive to damage Pacquiao's reputation? Absolutely. If you think this is just me being a "*******" or nuthugger then you've got some real deep hatred that is blinding you. This aint about Floyd v Pac, it's about treating a great athlete with respect instead of treating him as a special case i.e. if he's done the same tests as every other boxer and been proven clean, then he should be treated like every other boxer and the whole discussion should end right there.
Stupid response. How about you actually answer these questions. 1. What gives Floyd sr the right to decide who should do what drugs test and when? Is he now in charge rather than the commision? 2. What makes Pacquiao a special case? If all other boxers do the same tests and are found clean the discusion ends right there, but Pacquiao needs to go the extra mile to prove his innocence. Why? 3. Why is sr such a reliable source? Because he was a crack dealer and therefore knows all about illegal substances? atsch man, so many bitter haters in this world. I'll probably get zero answers to my questions and about 6 copy and paste jobs from wikipedia about PEDs/Steroids Pathetic.
1) what gives roach the right to demand catch weights? He is protecting his fighter as Sr is protecting his son do you see where this can lead? Sr is simply looking out for his son as any father would and its not like Jr wouldnt under go the same testing so both will be tested if you have nothing to hide it shouldnt be a problem now should it? 2) what Makes Manny a special case? Manny is not, however a fight this big deserves this kind of testing, so that it ensures the fans that not only will history be made but both fighters will be clean in making history both Manny and Floyd deserve to know this is a clean fight with out enhancers etc... 3) Sr did not prove Manny is on Roids and its not to set out and prove that Manny is on Roids its to make sure that Manny or Mayweather do not mess around with roids, again FMJ will also be tested. Here is my question to you why do you have a problem with it? its the biggest fight in the history of the sport and this kind of testing will give the fans and both fighters a fair shake at a true winner with out steriod controversy or allegations
I agree! I've been giving Floyd a lot of credit for taking the fight but now it looks as if he really had no intentions of taking the fight. He accepted b/c he thought PAC wouldn't due to the elections......Then when PAC accpted he wanted radom drug testing by the commission, PAC accepted then he wanted radom **** testing up to the fight, Again PAC agreed....then requested Olympic style blood testing...PAC agreed, Mutliple Olympic style blood tests before the promo tour and then after the fight...AGREED!......Floyd took it anther step and asked for Blood testing a week out from the fight...it was agreed to then Floyd asks for Blood testing on the day or two days before the fight....:bart I'm just mad b/c Floyd should just come out and say he don't want it with PAC. His actions are speaking for themselves.
YOUR RIGHT...HE DOES HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO SAY NO AND HE HAS EXCERCISED THAT RIGHT... BUT IT RAISES A SUSPICION..FLOYD HAD EVERY RIGHT TO ASK FOR THE TESTING AND HAS EVERY RIGHT TO BE SUSPICIOUS FOR HIM SAYING NO:deal
Pac has had one fight at catchweight, and when he's agreed a certain catchweight, he's kept his word instead of agreeing 144 and then switching it to 147 at the last minute. I don't wanna turn this into a Floyd bashing thread but lets be real. 1. Protecting your son is one thing, disrespecting and making very serious allegations about another athelete is something very different, and all this without a shred of evidence. If Floyd was simply concerned about his son he wouldn't be saying that he believes Pacquiao is on some kind of drugs, he would only say something like "I just wanna make sure he's clean". By making these accusations he's damaging someones reputation because he knows there are idiots who will believe everything he says. My answer to your questions is this. I have a problem with it because I believe the same rules should apply to all boxers. It's unfair on Pacquiao to have to do more than every other boxer simply because he's so good that some people can't believe he can be that good without taking anything illegal. I also have a problem with it because the athletic commision is satisfied he's clean and they are in charge of this. Why should he give in to Floyds demands? Now if the athletic commision, not Floyd sr decided that ALL boxers will now have to do blood testing whenever THEY say, not Floyd sr, I would have no problem with it at all.
In answer to your questions. 1) Nothing and No. 2) He isnt and he doesnt. 3) He isnt. You are absolutely correct in what you say however the Mayweathers have achieved exactly what they set out to do. This is simply a stunt to try and discredit Pac and gain a psychological advantage and I believe they have suceeded in doing this.
What part of "the boxing commission testing is weak" don't you understand ? the boxing commission testing is insufficient.. They fail to catch mosley who was using the latest in designer enhancers Failed!!! it been reported that Evander also order from Balco under an alias, and he has passed many of test..
There are HUGE difference from Catch weights that are the NORM in boxing and based on FACTS! Smaller man moving up to face bigger man....both men meet somewhere in the middle to make it happen. And this situation.....Floyd Sr and Jr watch PAC destroy Miguel Cotto....They realize they will be facing Manny next. They decide to come up with rumors about PAC taking roids withOUT any proof or evidence to back up those hefty claims. Then have the nerve to take the rumor mill a step further and request random **** tests throughout the promotion, up to the fight. Manny agreed...then Floyd had anther request.....Blood test, OLYMPIC style blood tests...PAC agreed...then requested Multiple Olympic style blood tests...Agreed....Asked for blood test a week before the fight....again, Manny agreed....then Floyd asked for Tests on the day of and then two days before.atsch PAC and Roach simply had enough of Floyd beating around the bush. He don't want the fight so PAC, Arum and Roach have made it easy for Floyd to back out....they did it for him.
You could be right and it has worked b/c it pisses me off and I'm not the one having to really deal wit the BS!
Evander never ordered from Balco it was a different company on the east coast I think but it was not balco. However you can test clean using steroids some of you should research this before you start assuming that because a test is clean so is the fighter, not the case at all. especially now and days where most go undetected.... its not un fair to Manny, Floyd is doing and will be doing the same testing
SOURCE ON THIS?? FLOYD DIDN'T ASK FOR **** BUT TO USE THE USADA TESTING PROCEDURE...WHEN THEY SAID THERE PROCEDURE WILL NOT GUARANTEE THAT BLOOD WILL NOT BE DRAWN ON THE SAME DAY OF THE FIGHT ROACH SAID HELL NO...IF FLOYD IS GONNA DO IT THAN WHY CAN'T MANNY THOUGH??:think
Look its this simple if he has something to hide he ducks the test. If he doesn't he shouldn't have any problems giving blood. On the subject of urin tests vers blood tests its rediculous to equate the two. Anyone that knows anything about drug metabolism knows that any substance that is excreted in the urine must first be metabolized and broken down by the liver into a difference substance (polar). The accuracy of the tests aren't close. I like how in Arums letter he mentioned his proposed testing method as being that used by the NFL national Baseball league and MMA. Thats a complete joke seen as those are pretty much the three most drug up institutions in the sports. believe me I know people who compete in minor level MMA events and they are all on drugs and everyone at the top is also on drugs. So frankly if Arum's trying to use this type of testing as an example of a fair and accurate testing method it doesn't pass the smell test.
This is not a discussion on how good the testing is. What part of that sentence don't YOU understand? I am not arguing about how good testing is. I am arguing that the same rules should apply to everyone. So because you think the testing is weak should we assume that every boxer is guilty untill proven innocent? Do you understand now?
