It's pretty easy to look back now and put a negative spin on pac's previous fights at welter. Bare in mind two years prior to the Clottey fight Pac was fighting JMM for the featherweight title weighing more than 16 pounds lighter! 16 pounds is a tremendous amount of weight to put on as a fighter and still remain effective seeing as it's all muscle.

All in all though, name a fighter that has gone from feather to welter in a two year period and beat the best possible opposition. You'll struggle.

He did let's us down, by taking on Clottey, Margarito and Mosley. But other than that, hes good for the sport. Hes too humble or whatever you call it, so he lets Bob Arum run all over him, Hopefully he doesnt do this in hes political career, peoples lives will be at stake.

He took on Clottey because Floyd Mayweather chickened out? Cmon, Atleast fight an opponent fans would accept. That's what Mayweather did, vs Mosley who everyone thought Mayweather would NEVER fight.

What was wrong with Clottey? He just came off a controversial loss to Cotto, many thought Clottey won the fight. Clottey is a helluva defensive fighter with an iron chin and packs strong punch, seemed like a tough fight for Manny which it was he was getting peppered with uppercuts towards the end of the fight. It was a harder fight than David Diaz.

Who else should Manny have fought if not Clottey?

Ugh - He's let us down huh? I know someone else who has made a bit of a career out of doing that too...

Stupid thread. Promoters and the state of the sport might be letting us down but Manny hasn't done anything but face who he's faced and demolished his opposition along the way.

Enough already. FMJ is scared of Manny and that's final. Pretty Boy could very well win a matchup against Pac but he's too scared to try.

If Floyd had 'the urge', Pac wouldn't have let me down.
