Pacquiao haters - don't get too excited by what Porter did on 24/7!

Pac-haters shouldn't get too excited, and say, "oh, that's what Cotto is going to do!" First of all, look at how small the ring was...the purpose of the session was probably to get Pac used to being bullied and pounded on the ropes. At the end of the session, Porter gave Pac a little shove...that could be a indicator that Porter was instructed to pound away like that, and play the bully. Freddie Roach knows exactly what he is doing, trust me.

I don't think there was anything to it but PAC getting handled by a bigger guy which could also happen on nov 14?

 funny how Roach insists on no footage of sparring....then footage will somehow appear of Manny being 'beaten up'...o..k.

i have a feeling- and roach is a conniving ****- that they are intentionally showing manny being hit under forward pressure- in order to lure cotto to come forward so they can catch him coming in. to give cotto a false sense of confidence from these tapes to say- oh look manny can be bullied if i apply pressure. its exactly what hatton thought - and exactly how hatton got caught.
what they dont want is for cotto to counterpunch and box- as he did with mosely- manny dosent do so well agains counterpunching- as with marquez- imagine if marquez was bigger - as cotto is- and counterpunched that well. manny would be in for a long night- if he has to initiate the action all nite.
i know it may be seen as nuthuggin- and i may be looking too much into it- and giving roach too much credit here. but roach knows what he s doing- he s very selective in what he shows the 24 7 guys. As seen by the last two shows with oscar and hatton- he s quite often able to use the show to his advantage.

it looked way too sus for me to fall for. i mean when have we EVER seen manny just stand there and cop punishment- he normally hits back and gets out of there. he never just stands there with his hands up and cops the hits. if its too good to be true- it nomrally is. congrats- you ve all just been roached.

That whole sequence was shown in the context of Roachs' $1000 bet to knock Pac down. Did you guys even watch the show?

It was like 5 seconds of footage at best. That **** doesn't mean anything. From what I've heard Pac has been beating up on his sparring partners.

We don't really know how old that sparring session was, and that's one of the main problems with basing opinions based on the 24/7 show, it's heavily edited and cleverly constructed to give us a specific story line to go by. Maybe it was recent and indeed roach was trying to get people to think pac's having difficulties or maybe pac was having a bad day, etc. Let's just enjoy the show for what it is and not take it like we really are there watching what's going on because we're not, we're being fed what HBO wants us to see.

I don't really paid attention to that sparring session. Everything I hear or see in 24/7 its just an illusion, psychological warfare between both camps.
