It took only two days to sell out the Pac-Dela Hoya, and Floyd-Dela Hoya because the casinos bought majority of the tickets to scalp it to the public.. This is why the cost of the tickets were very expensive from the gallery down to the ringside seats because the casinos priced it so high.. FYI, the Pac-Dela Hoya fight did not sold out. They had to trim down the number of seats (from 15,000 to 14,000) to make it look like it was a full-house. In fact, in the few days leading to the fight, the price of the ticket went as low as 50% of the actual price. Scalpers and casinos lost money, although the promoters made a killing.

Its different with the Hatton-Pac fight, since the fans directly buys it directly from the source so it took a while to get sold out, and which is also the same reason why the price of the tickets are not that high.

Mayweather vs hatton sold out in something like 30mins, admittedly in a good economy and there was no "scalping" involved from the casinos
