“I consider this my hardest fight because Hatton is also a strong and excellent boxer,” said Pacquiao, who knocked out both De La Hoya and Diaz.
“I cannot be overconfident,” added the Gen. Santos City native, who was named Philippine Sportswriters Association Athlete of the Year Friday night.
Meanwhile, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer said he is not bothered by Hatton’s decision not to hold the entire eight-week training camp in Las Vegas, where his trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr., is based.
Saying he didn’t want to be away from his loved ones and his football team, Hatton said he will spend the first four weeks of training in England.
Schaefer is confident that Mayweather Sr. will whip Hatton into the best shape of his life for the Pacquiao fight.
“Mayweather also wants to show that he can train a fighter to beat Pacquiao,” said Schaefer. “One thing the Mayweathers have is an incredible will to win.”

i so hope this fight aint going to be a big disappointment as we are all hoping this is going to be a battle.
i hope i doesnt end in a first round ko as we know both fighters are capable of it.
lets hope it is ending in the later rounds so we get out ppv monies worth.

lol hatton doesnt want to be away from his football team..true love

  7. Expecting a tough fight. Hatton looks improved under Mayweather. Oscar was a corpse. If Hatton were to be unsuccessful at muscling Pacquaio then he probably gets KOd late. Pac is very sturdy now. He has really grown up and filled out (from when I watched him many times while I was in Asia from 1995 through late 1997).

he always says that... pac's english vocabulary is so small that he keeps repeating the same line again and again.

btw hatton's reason for not training in the US with floyd is pathetic.

  9. Yeh

you can take his Fiance or son... But don't touch his Footy team.

I don't know why Man City arn't up to much

I think all fighters have been guilty of saying stupid things at one point or another. Manny's excuse involving his socks comes to mind.

I guess all the talk about Pacquiao underestimating and looking past Hatton goes out the window now. Pac will be as ready as he will ever be in this fight.

    WAR Pac!!!
