then his private advisors like haymon and ellerbe get their cut

and of course the large USA tax bands that only mayweather has to pay

 

goldenboy get a flat fee.. I doubt its that much as well as they get the benefit of having their fighters fight on a mayweather card and the benefits that the exposure brings

Why are you putting examples of fighters bigger/larger than floyd and not from his natural weight class? its because GBP has the best fights for him available at the weight, and just to inform you floyd was looking for Ortiz-berto winner. floyd was the one who mentioned that he wants to fight the winner of williams-martinez right? and i just put them as an example since some *****s are blaming arum (as usual) again that floyd is only taking GBP fighters as opponents for the last 5 years. at this rate, they would also blame arum and paquiao for taking his long vacations.

good post. i don't deny any of it. but of course there the other side of the equation of who could have he fought instead.

dela hoya and hatton ok, they are big money fights from GBP. marquez, he could ahve fought pac directly or could ahve fought cotto if he did not retired. he could have fought martinez or pacquiao instead of ortiz. mosley is a good choice of opponent but we all know that margarito is his last great performance and the 15 months of inactivity has exposed mosleys current condition.

the bottom line here is, floyd could have chosen non-GBP opponents from that span but he would rather pick GBP fighter as opponents.
