He was winning the JMM fight until the brutal KO.

He still has a lot left to give. Rematch Bradley, take on Rios and see if the Mayweather fight can be penned.

    Is this true or not?

    If so thats awesome.

I actually thought Pac looked the best in years in the fight. Which is what is crazy about this sport.

I hope we get the rios fight. And then Bradley Marquez fight. With the winners in september.

I wonder if he'll take a tune up fight first.

When was his last tune up anyway? Diaz? That was 4 years ago...

He didn't take a 12 round beating so he doesn't need to sit around for a long time letting anything recover. The sooner he gets in the ring and gets a W the better.

He got KO'd cold with no damaging effects and was cleared from hospital and all scans the same night.

Exactly, he wasn't concussed so there's no harm at all fighting in April. A tune-up fight is a waste, it needs to be Marquez or Mayweather and the latter will never fight him.

Marquez' promoter has already said Marquez would fight Pacquiao again. This fight will get made - Arum may consider April not enough time as he sees an opportunity to milk this one as it would be over 1.5m PPVs, but the longer he waits the more it loses ground.

Pacquiao needs to do what Lewis did and get back in the ring against Marquez - if his attacks had been more controlled and he didn't get so eager we would be talking about a very 1 sided Pacquiao win by way of KO in rounds 7 or 8 and we would be talking about the best Pacquiao since Cotto as he overwhelmed Marquez and gave him a ridiculous opening that saved him. It was a greatly timed counter but I dont' think there's any doubt it was more Pacquiao's mistake who got too eager on a guy who never gives up

Rios will fight Alvarado again, Bradley can continue playing himself and deluding himself that he's a good fighter when no one cares when he fights again. And Mayweather can continue looking for fighters with static and predictable footwork, right handed and inferior hand speed to fight

i hope he shows resiliency and redirects his focus back on the sport. we've seen how dedicated jmm was, it practically consumed him.. beating pac i mean. if he can have that kind of intensity to prove himself again, then he should continue. if he's already satisfied with his accomplishments and has his mind on other things aside from boxing, i'd admonish for him to just retire.

He would - there's nothing like the wake-up call of a KO against a guy you throught couldn't hurt you. Pacquiao would have the advantage of motivation that Marquez has had in the last 2 fights - if Marquez won that I'd be surprised, not shocked :) but very surprised

If it does happen Pacquiao should not look for the KO. He can get this on points and if the KO comes then fine. If he goes searching for it, could end badly again as they will know the strategy and will wait for a similar counter.

For all of those saying Pacquiao is done... Look at what Lennox Lewis was able to do after brutally KOed twice.

I'd like to see Pacquiao fight Paulie Malinaggi in April IN THE PHILLIPPINES, followed by a 5th bout against Marquez in September. After that, call it a career and go be a full time congressman.

he's gonna do politics first? there's an upcoming election this May right? he needs to stop doing everything and just concentrate on boxing if he still wants to fight.

His political career is a farce. Boxing makes him millions. We all know it's just some BS position just like his wife who asked what she would do as vice governess, she didn't even know what the job entailed. That was hilarious. Even when pressed by Larry about his politicial duties after the fight, Manny didn't utter a single word in response.
