Pacquiao impressed me tonight and he should have impressed everyone.

despite the fact that he was facing a very very average boxer. Regardless of that, just sit here and ask yourself "What more can we ask for" from Pacquiao?

He isn't stopping here, he isn't cherry picking anything. He may have cherry picked this belt, but he isn't cherry picking anything in the future just like he hasn't cherry picked anything in the past.

Lets put it this way, Putting the obsessive Pacquiao fans aside, You can't represent the sport of boxing in a better way than Manny Pacquiao does.

You can claim he is 1 dimensional all you want (In a way he is 1 dimensional but in a way he really isn't) but his offensive game is exciting and it works, and if it ain't broken then why fix it?

With a stiff resume like Pacquiao's some of the people around here want to pick apart his career(as if you're qualified to do so lol...) by claiming that he beat up on old fighters. Sorry but the whole "old fighter" thing only applies to Erik Morales who is a ****ing unbelievable fighter and if you're going to lose to a fighter it might as well be Morales. He beat down Barrera when he was definitely still game, and he squeezed by Marquez (i don't think they were convincing or that he should have won both but who ****ing cares...) Fact is, Pacquiao was at a horrendous stylistic disadvantage against Marquez and his determination in taking his style and making it effective against someone like Marquez is impressive in itself.

The reality is that this guy Pacquiao isn't a little *****. His career shows it and I honestly just really admire him as a person for what hes done for boxing. He may not be a "stylist" in some peoples eyes but he deserves respect from every single person. If you can't realize this than you're a sad excuse of a boxing fan.

    Time for some more beer....

    1) I cried Tears of joy when Erik Morales beat Pacquiao up in that first fight.

2)I cried Tears of sadness when Erik Morales showed up in the 2nd fight getting wiped up as a fighter that aged over the course of his previous fights.

3)I cried like a baby when Morales shook his head no on the canvas like he'd seen enough from those 3 rounds of war.

    4) I cried tears of anger when Morales got ROBBED against David Diaz in his attempt to become a 4 division world champion.

    5) I cried tears of happiness tonight when Manny Pacquiao laid this fool out almost putting him in a stretcher with a lethal counter left after putting on a Joe Calzaghe ala Jeff Lacy Performance!!!

    Great post!

Too bad for some pac haters... they will always think of something to say negative about pac.

Some of them would not give him credit until he fights guzman, valero, hatton, casa, campbell etc.....

One things for sure if he fights Guzman.. they will say he is avoiding JMM, campbell.. if he fights JMM he is avoiding Guzman...

    Some pac haters :| :| :| :| babies indeed!

I'd actually like it if Pacquiao tried for the unification at 135s. But if he wants to move up to 140lbs to fight Hatton and chase a money match with Floyd Mayweather then more power to him. The distinction here is that if he beats Hatton he qualifies just like any other man to challenge Floyd since Floyd is retired and doesn't have any belt or whatever. It sucks but everyone should be glad for Pacquiao because he is trying for greatness regardless of which decision he chooses.

Excellent post, 100% agree, Pacquiao is the future and I'm willing to appreciate his presence rather than deny it and feel sorry when he's retired. One of my favorites and have been for a very long time.
