Pacman did his job, and he deserves all the credit in the world for handling a fighter like David Diaz in that fashion.

Juan Manuel Marquez will thoroughly outbox Casa just like he did Pacman for 24 rounds. It isn't speculation that he outboxed Pac, it's on the film for everybody to see. Let's not try and discredit Juan Manuel Marquez in a thread that was designed to give props to Manny.

    For Pac?

I'm not a Pacman hater, It's just everytime somebody mentions him it's in a ridiclious context. Do I think he'd be comeptitive with any top 10 welterweight in the world? Hell no. There is no evidence to suggest that he is even the best lightweight in the world at the moment, and for him to go up and fight people as big as Hoya and Hatton isn't a good move in my opinion. If they aren't talking about that then they are crediting him for a fight I thought he lost, and I can handle that the first time, but it happening two times in a row is hard for me to stomach.

    Pacman is a great fighter.

As a Pac fan, there are a lot of other Pac fans that sometimes make outstandish claims.. For one, I don't think a fight with DLH or Floyd would ever happen, as Pac as also said, he wont go above 140.. Now a fight with Hatton is possible, but I would like for him to fight a few fights in the 135lb division and possibly unify all of the titles, while in the midst of fighting JMM in a rematch.. As I think JMM will win his fight with Casam I do think Pac will be fighting him in early 2009 as well as the winner of Campbell/Guzman.. But yeah, there are a lot of crazy Pac fan's here and there, although I have no problems with them except when they say some wild **** like "Pac would've starched Duran" or some **** like that, but I don't see why people would hate on Pac and try to discredit him just over a couple of fans?? Not saying you do though, but a select few on ESB..

Thats a very fair post. Pac was extremely impressive last night and its made me think twice about his chances with Hatton (I'd still take Hatton, he's not going to stand there in the middle distance while Pac tees off on him) but the Pac fans banging on about Oscar and Mayweather fights are doing their credibility no good at all, it ain;t going to happen. Pac needs to have a fight or 2 at 135 and then look for a Hatton fight around this time next year.

I was impressed with how cool he was. No longer jumping in to get the job done early. He has become a fine boxer who can still get a brilliant finish like in the old days.

Pacquiao has to go into every fight right now with the mindset that the scoring system is set up like the USA Amateurs. He has to come in thinking that his power isn't going to win him the fight if he can't KO the guy, He has to fight to land punches with his hand speed and trying to win every round. Joe Calzaghe fights in the same manner only difference is Calzaghe has an amazing defensive skill set,(Pacquiao makes up for it in a way with his AMAZING leg strength and foot speed) but offensively he fights as if it was the amateurs, out landing to win rounds. Gamboa fought this way with Jimenez, Gamboa who although has a very nice KO ratio resorted to landing flurries upon flurries to win every single round.

Pac just did this with David Diaz, and he should keep it up if he wants to keep winning his fights at this higher weight. He did an excellent job.
