    Howard didn't lose because of this reason, he served 13yrs only 2nd to Menzies don't forget.

    Howard lost because the general population are idiots, they believed all the hype about Rudd, At that stage Howard was on the nose because of workchoices.

    Rudd goes on Rove a few times and all the 18-30yr old halfwits vote him in :patsch.

    Howard was never going to be PM forever, he's biggest mistake was not letting Costello take over.

    It's the same with Ricky Ponting and Steve Waugh before him, no one wants to give there plum jobs away.

    Darren Lockyer and Harry Kewell are also getting to that stage of their careers.
