Pacquiao is 10 weeks away from being on the top 10 p4p list for 10 YEARS!

    He's been in the rings top 10 p4p list for 510 weeks. Woah. If he beats Rios (and he will), he'll make the 10 year landmark. This will be another big achievement to add to Pacmans endless list of achievements.

    Are there any fighters who have been rated top 10 for a decade?...Im not sure.

    Well, as a Pacquiao fan, I hope the public feels the same way so it will be perceived as an achievement on some level for him to beat Rios. I know better though. Pacquiao and Rios are about 3 levels apart. It's A+ vs. C+.

    I'm almost 100% positive Mayweather has been a top 10 P4P fighter since beating G.Hernandez in 98 and has been on the list every year since outside of 08"

    But in life, you can't deal with coulda woulda shoulda's. Floyd took numerous vacations and retirements. I agree that he'd probably have made the list if he didnt retire/go on holiday but he didnt prove it so it doesnt count. What matters in boxing and in life generally is what you prove, not what you could have and would have proved.

    98 -> 99 = 1 year
    99 -> 00 = 2 years
    00 -> 01 = 3 years
    01 -> 02 = 4 years
    02 -> 03 = 5 years
    03 -> 04 = 6 years
    04 -> 05 = 7 years
    05 -> 06 = 8 years
    06 -> 07 = 9 years

    Which is why I indicated its depends on how u look at it Hernandez-Hatton is 10 years on the P4P list. And not to change the topic but since you mention what you could/should've done why the hell are guys like Margo/P.Will praised they looked scary and looked like they could be great but didn't do **** of note in the sport.

    Mayweather-Hatton took place in Dec 07 so heading into Jan 08 Mayweather was still P4P #1 and I guess that's where the misunderstanding is I was counting from when he entered the list til now so that would be 98-99, 99-00, 00-01, 01-02, 02-03, 03-04, 04-05, 05-06, 06-07, 07-08 thinking about it technically Mayweather retired in 08 so if your talking consecutive years as an active boxer then you can add 09-10, 10-11, 11-12, 12-13. Because outside of the year he was "retired" as an active boxer he's been on the list 98 til now

    Ok but he wasn't on the list for 520 weeks, even though he was very close. This means he didnt last for 10 years. There isnt really a debate here cause we're dealing with facts and figures, not our opinions.
