Manny is played out and was exposed as an media created hype job who mostly was supported by casual fans. His accomplishments are overblown as well like 8 weight division champ which is a huge joke. His FOTD award was just a popularity contest because everyone hated Mayweather who beat the same fighters he did when they weren't dead men. Please let Manny rest in peace.

It's cool that that's your opinion. It really is. OK so he didnt really win the FOTD award - it was a popularity contest. He wasnt really a 8 weight division champ (lineal in 4) - that a myth spread by the media in lieu of a joke. He didnt really TKO Barrera and Morales - they both had offdays. However you wanna sell it.

But ultimately your minority opinion wont factor into how history will see Pacquiao. Only his vast and deep accomplishments will. In boxing, it's all about the accomplishments.

You totally didnt get what I did. I was drawing a line of logic that you would have to agree with in order to be consistent with yourself. I said IF u want to consider DLH a full win for Floyd (as you said), then you'd have to do the same for Pacquiao. In reality of course I dont think Pac's win was as good, and of course I dont think Floyd's win is a full win. DLH was clearly and significantly past prime for Floyd and a shadow of himself for Pacquiao. And I also dont get why you suggest that DLH was not past prime for Floyd because he beat Mayorga? That's a weird thing to say.

Ok fine if YOU think Castillo is to be rated the same or better than Barrera. Obviously youre not very aware of who Barrera is to boxing people. Barrera will so, so very easily go down as greater than Castillo. This is getting unreasonable.

I'm understand that clearly that is not a prime Hoya but if you can't understand the difference between facing a guy coming off a big win and being top 2 in a weight class compared to facing that same guy coming off a loss and being unranked everywhere clearly they are not the same situation.

As for Barerra/Castillo Barerra is more popular that doesn't make him better look at it like this the best fighter Castillo fought is better than the best fighter Barrera fought and considering a lot of people think Castillo beat Mayweather in the 1st fight his best win is better than Barrera's. Saying Castillo is an ATG is not taking away from Barrera place in history but this gross under rating of Mayweathers opponents has to stop. Its crazy that Pacquiao can fight guys coming directly from losses and its no big deal yet Mayweather consistantly fights Champion after Champion most of whom haven't loss in years leading up to the fight and all you hear is he loss to so an so. Castillo has the best resume LW has seen in almost 20 years he's an ATG accept it and give respect.

yeah Floyd retired. I don't see how the hell Manny can be rated on anybody's p4p list right now when he's 1-2 in his last 3 fights and just got KTFO.

Notice Roy Jones didn't stay on the list after he got knocked out

You obviously DKNSAB. Why are you even on this forum? Even your hero Broner thinks Pacquiao is in top 3. Since we're using official P4P lists (not our opinions), Manny is breaking a new record because Floyd ran from the sport to "retire" and duck fighters in their prime.

Broner isn't my hero. I'm more of a fan of Paulie than Broner.

and yes Manny's on the official p4p list. I can also say Floyd beat p4p rated Guerrero, Canelo, Marquez, Hatton, Mosley since 2007

Yes you can. Floyd did beat those guys since 2007. This thread wasnt meant to be about Manny v Floyd. This thread was just to point out another pretty awesome and unprecedented achievement of Pacquiao's, so long as he gets past Rios. Kinda adds some significance to the Rios fight, even though I fully expect Manny to stop him.

What made you think this? When I said (quoted): "DLH was clearly and significantly past prime for Floyd and a shadow of himself for Pacquiao". Did that make you think I said Pacquiao's win and Floyd's win are equal?

Or maybe when i said: "In reality of course I dont think Pac's win was as good (as Floyd's)". Maybe that meant that Pac's win as equal to Floyd's win? Several times now you have made things that clearly havent been said.

Im not debating with you as to whether Castillo is greater than Barrera. This has become too unreasonable, and it seems you have an agenda. 99% or maybe even 100% of the boxing experts (and fans) know that Barrera is greater than Castillo and that's good enough for me.
