Can you offer any proof of this number for Cotto/PAC fight? I heard reports say that PPV buys were in the range of 1.25 Million to 1.3 million

Wow fact is .. mayweather averages more ppv buys than any other fighter in history of the sport ... how is he not the bigger draw. .. may fought de la hoya and hatton before manny and sold more ... he fought marquez after manny and sold more ... so no matter what way u put it, may sells more than pac

id like to know what the international ppv numbers amount to- its a figure which is constantly ignored. obviously the us makes a large chunk- but here in australia EVERY pub and restaurant shows the ppv events- and it costs them 150 bucks to show in a screening environment, not to mention asia, england, etc. its a substantial figure. for the hatton /mayweather fight- england drew as much ppv as did usa.

the reason i ask is, pac is clearly the bigger international star, whilst mayweather is arguably the bigger usa ppv star.
i read somewhere that although the initial guaranteed purse split was 40 million each, that mayweather was then to receive a larger chunk of us ppv revenue, and manny was to receive a larger chunk of international ppv and handoff licensing revenue, once it was sold to other networks like sky , etc.

Pacquiao has just earned his 8th title. He won by a landslide as a congressman.

They're just about even. Pacquiao w/ his popularity and Floyd with his notoriety. Fans watch them on this basis.

international broadcast rights, endorsements, merchandise sales, and they could also make it a PPV in Europe. US PPV sales however would still constitute a big chunk of revenue. Although Mayweather is the bigger draw in the US, exactly how much bigger is the unknown (might not be by much though), that is why the fight should be 50/50.
