:bartSounds like they getting their cherry basket ready again. I'm sure some people will flip it anyway they want, but when I read it, the first thing I thought was cherrypicker. Leon told me that they may choose Maidana after the Mosley fight, but I'm not sure how reliable that is

    Great article.

I don't know why Ring, BWAA, etc. rank him so high. He's a major cherry picker. You should enlighten them with your story.

    Who the **** cares?

Pac fought Barrera, Marquez, De La Hoya and Hatton whilst under Arum, before the feud with GBP erupted and the subsequent lawsuits against each other.

That was 4 fights in a 5 fight span against GBP fighters.

Blame GBP for killing their working relationship with Top Rank by trying to slander and ruin the reputation and career of Arum's number one asset.

Yeah, Pac should leave the promoter who put him in fights which generated over 5 million PPV buys in the US in his last 5 fights (possible only matched by DLH and Tyson) and paid him more money than he could ever have dreamed of? Whilst at the same time making him a living legend? Get a ****ing grip on reality will you.

Maidana at 140lbs? and not Marquez?!!? :|. My initial reaction is the same, picking the easiest opponents to keep the winning streak to be able to have leverage vs Mayweather. But I think roach sees a decline in Pacquaio, and just realizes now that Pacquiao aint as big as Mayweather. Also a hint that the fight will happen. :happy

Oscar and Floyd did it and look what it did for them. Arum opened the doors and they should be grateful, but they don't need him anymore

Yeah man boxing had such a good ending this year, but 2011 may suck in the first half, but you could be right about them trying to get the fight sooner now

Without Arum, Pacquaio wouldnt be as big as he is now. So I guess get pampered by Arum, and make easy money, or leave him possibly to make more money and choose any opponents the "fans" wants him to take. Bob Arum Strikes again. :hey

And can't you see that Pac is nowhere near as greedy nor egotiscal as those two dipshits? He is made of a whole different kind of character. One which has made him probably the most beloved fighter worldwide, and not just in in the Phillipines. He's got enough on his plate being a congressmen and would be a fool to leave Arum when he doesn't have the same kind of greed-driven ambition of a Mayweather or a DLH (who formed their own promotional companies whilst still active). He wouldn't know what he was doing.

They should fight Mayweather now, so atleast they get paid, before Pacquiao starts declining. Can you imagine, if Team Pacquiao agrees to no cut off dates? LOL, that would be something. :|

Damn, Arum stop being greedy. :fire

Maidana lost to Khan, who was trained by Freddie Roach(first time I watched a Maidana fight). Im safely assuming that he seen weakness in Maidana that Pacquaio can exposed that Khan couldnt. Pacquaio by KO though if not atleast a beating, Maidana is slow. :barf But still a better fight than the Clotteys and Margos.

Why is it continually ignored that Arum turned down a 4 fight contract of Margarito, Cotto, Hatton, De La Hoya because he didn't feel he would make enough money off of it?
