Cotto - DESTROYED by Margarito, lost to Clottey.
Clottey - Hired his training partner, no coach, no gym, didn't punch :think
Margarito - Caught cheating, KTFO by Mosley, unlicensed, paid more than Clottey :huh
Mosley - Dominated by FMJ, lack luster outing against a B+ fighter.

Just like the TS said. In every single point in time you can point out a litany of opponents BETTER than the guys Pac faced. Good names. Bad circumstance.

We can chalk a few of these up to "keeping busy", but who? Clottey? The only reason he is on that list is because Pac LIED about 14 days being offered. Margo? The only reason he is on that list is because Pac LIED about "agreeing to everything" when he really said 7 days.

He uses them all to perpetuate his BS legacy. Pac is a cherry picker and general fraud.

If it was unnecessary in your eyes, then it shouldn't matter to you. Cotto lost to Pac because of a simple reason. BEcause Pac was just the better man that night. There's no other way to spin it. Had he lost to Cotto, he would've gone back down to 140 or even 135.

 

Had nothing to do with the weight draining or demolition of Cotto by Margarito...

Pac isn't the problem, that POS Bob Arum is, but I will agree, that with the exception of the Cotto fight, this top rank **** has been BS and a Farce. I understand that there are not many options available, BUT Pac could fight Berto a dark horse who is unknown, instead of fighting the near 40 yr old Mosley, that everyone knows is washed up.

The Cotto fight was just bad. Especially since it happened AFTER SSM destroyed Margo and was the #1 WW.

Let's face it. Pac had an awesome 2009. And the Dela Hoya fight is what it is: name, money, even bigger subsequent fanbase etc...

But since Cotto, by the time he fights Shane in May, he would have fought the following in the past 21 months: Clottey, Margarito and Shane.

Taking into account where some of those fighters were/are in their respective careers, that's more of the resume you'd hope to see from an upcoming superstar in the division.

Clottey - a top 10/5 guy in the division, to prove you're above his level and one of the best.

Margarito - a former no. 1 in the division, coming off a dominating loss and layoff, and unlikely to be the type of fighter they once were when at the top as a result.

Mosley - a former great with diminished skill but still good name, also coming off a dominating loss and subsequent poor performance.

Not really the stuff you want from the p4p no. 1 though. And that's not a dig at Pac's overall resume. His overall resume is very good. It's just that by the Mosley fight, that's basically 2 years worth of fights a young 25-0 type fighter should be taking (i.e. say there was a Khan or Ward at WW).

 

You saying "getting destroyed by Margarito" had something to do with Cotto losing to Pac is a fact, huh? Why don't you show us your degree in psychology while you're at it?

The Cotto fight was decent, many thought Cotto had a chance and he really did, early on he was outboxing Pac, now the **** that has followed has been a farce, I will not argue that.

There isn't much available if he can't get Mayweather, that being said Berto is easily his best option but instead we are treated to another farce by Top Rank.

If Mayweather is not available than he has to fight someone, why not a young, undefeated champ in your weight class? Instead of fighting loser after loser, Mosley is almost 40 and hasn't won in years, margacheato was a disgraceful cheater that got banned and KTFO.
