Hatton and Pacquiao are about the same size and Hatton gave Mayweather fits. The thing about it is Mayweather was in his prime. Against Maidana Mayweather was hit with everything in the book. Against Cotto who let his hands go Mayweather was getting caught. Now we all know Pacquiao is unpredictable darting in and out throwing all sorts of punches this fight is interesting. I pulling for Mayweather but I have to state the facts. although Mayweather is better than Marquez Marquez stayed in the lions den with Pacquiao and sometimes engaged Pacman Floyds a little different

i just agree with this "Pacquiao is faster better footwork than Hatton"
i think mayweather beats him i always have, i just want to see how he does it. id like to see mayweather box in rds and see him walk down manny. at the end of the day its still a fight and anything can happen. so the fight is a must watch because even though im picking floyd to win anything is possible.

Pac might have quicker feet than Hatton, but Hatton cuts off the ring better than Pacquiao.

Hatton was really an excellent pressure fighter. He fought a good fight against MAYWEATHER and May have had more success with a different ref, kinda like Maidana 1 and 2.
But Hatton was much better at Pac doing certain things, like cutting off the ring and mauling/grappling in the clinch.. It's a different kind of fight, but it does show short arm fighters can have success. Hatton even had a shorter reach than Pac, with no jab to speak of. PAC game will be center of the ring controlling range, he's gonna do a much better job at setting the pace and distance than most are giving him credit. Mayweather is gonna have to come after Pac during the fight to win rounds, he's not gonna be able to pot shot his way to victory with a guy like Pac.

Pac hasn't got a chance. This will be a boring one sided wide UD for Mayweather.
The fight will be a non event.

yeah I agree Pac has no clue on how to cut the ring off. Its an interesting fight. Mayweather might just dominate with a hit hold clinch type of fight. I can see this frustrating and draining Manny

For those who don't think Manny can cut off ring...... Did you watch the Algieri fight? This guy was more mobile than Mayweather's most "running" round. I thought Pac cut off ring well. Much more improved than past fights.

Tbf to pacman he doesnt even try to cut the ring off at any kind of intensity. He's relaxed about it. He either comes to you to exchange or you go to him. Thats why mayweather will outpoint him to a boring unaminous decision. Should be an easier fight that the hatton one for mayweather. Who actually struggled at times with hattons pressure. He dealt with it effectively but didnt always look comfortable with it. Hattons perfomance against mayweather under-rated in light of his fights afterwards. Most just gave up trying after a couple of rounds. Is allright saying hatton was stopped but most of them would have been stopped if they'd went for it. Hatton severely under-rated on this forum. Yeah he became a clincher when the level went up but what he done well he done very well. At least pacman has some power so can never be completely written off tho. But i m going wide unaminous decision for mayweather. Outpoint and frustrate pacman before walking him down. But still being ridiculously careful as always.

I just don't think he wants to. He can do it when needed, or down in a fight. I mean he's no Chavez or even Hatton but he can do it.

PAC game is speed, agility, and timing. He has power always has, but that's not where he gets the ko's. He catches guys moving, with him moving. He's throwing from angles while moving during an exchange. He doesn't load up on a guy and get the knockout on the ropes with a big shot. He gets you in exchanges or coming in, when you move, he's already moving. A stationary target he can tee off on or swarm, but it's not where he's gonna be at his best.
Just like Floyd is always gonna be at his best against boxer/puncher types.. It's just a style thing

Still don't understand this cutting the ring nonsense. Watch this video, all you disbelievers.

    https:/ /www . youtube . com/watch?v=l5OH6p_g-Hs

Pacquiao hugely focused on cutting the ring. Just watch his training vids before the fight. You hear him mumbling to himself over and over and over again, "Cut, cut, cut... cut the ring, cut the ring, cut the ring."

And this was against a complete RUNNER, Chris Algieri. The worst runner I've ever seen in my life. Any success cutting the ring on a guy like this is impressive. Seriously, Chris Algieri doesn't use movement. He RUNS AWAY. 5x worse than anything Mayweather has ever done because Algieri does it every round. Floyd only does it (sometimes) in later rounds when he's winning.
