says who, the man who you said saw pbf at 146 in the gym.:rofl

you act like a ****ing noob.

until the contract is signed, nothing is agreed upon. in fact in some instances, some contracts/fights are amended/moved because you know, some fighter can get injured. :rofl:yep

but still the contract has to be signed before it can be honored. :rofl

Am I the only one who thinks cutting another four pounds won't really hurt Cotto? Especially considering he has months and months to prepare?

lame comeback. my question is, show proof that pac agreed to fight cotto at 145.

who is a moron now? :patsch

want to bet that this fight will happen at 145 or above? 2 weeks self imposed ban?

No one knows better than Cotto his self and when he says 145 and NOTHING below he knows he's safe at 145 and anything below he can't do or will suffer to make.

i think 145 is it. i am basically cotto's size and weight and i reduced weight to regain athletic capabilities to some degree.

there is a comfortable spectrum of weight that you can say you can still be effective. 144 might be borderline but 143 i think is just too much. 147 is easy for cotto to attain, he was 146 weighin.

losing weight, after you lost your initial target to achieve optimum fitness is very difficult to do from my own personal experience.

Seeing how Pac just got the proposal in his hands on Monday, I find it hard to believe he agreed to any weight limit, much less anything else.

He went through life and death experiences in training camps to make weight at 140 back in 2006 so you can guess how it's nearly impossible to make it 3 years later. As you said, 143 might be too much in my opinion too but if Cotto agrees to it then he definitely knows better than us.

And I don't want to hear "money" bull**** from people IF he agrees for 143. Cotto already stated he can make good money having rematches with Mosley, Margarito and Clottey. Possible fights with JMM/Mayweather winner and Berto are also there for him to take so he's NOT in desperate need for this if he doesn't want to or feels their catchweight demands are irrational.

i totally agree. my PT requested me to lose 10 more pounds after i lost weight to relieve stress on a partial slipped disc i suffered so i can engage in my exercises and I looked at her like:silly.

i lost i think 4-6 pounds and i that 4 pounds was the barrier for me. just like cotto, if I was made to lose 5 pounds, from 147 to 142, i would propably have fainting spells from hunger. 145 is a good weight, 142-143 would be suicide for cotto in my opinion.

    Yes you are.

He looked like a ****ing ghost at 140 before he left, was in terrible condition. He has now gotten use to 147, and grown into it (and looks relatively drained at 147), so obviously the closer he goes to 140 the greater the physical effect.

145 would likely be comfortable, 142? Thats getting ridiculous.

I'm a Pac fan and this **** pisses me the **** off. Why is Pacquiao always like this? He can't make up his ****ing mind. He always listens to the people around him.

pac should not let cotto go down to 142/143. the minimum cotto should get down is 144/145 which is just fair imo.

As stated previously, when he says he CAN make 145 and can't make 143 he means it, if he could I'm sure he will.

The real problem for professional fighters isn't the process of starvation or whatever physically damaging method they take to lose weight, that's definitely in the list of damaging stuff but the MAIN problem is them having to spend half the time they have in training camp on weight when the opposition is spending all the time they have on the gameplan. That's the major issue.
