Looking at these threads on here, its becoming clear that Manny Pacquiao is no longer the overwhelming choice to win the Cotto fight, and that suits me just fine. Cotto is starting to become the popular pick, because Pacquiao was on so high a pedestal after the Hatton fight, people had to begin knocking him down because nobody likes seeing anyone exalted TOO much. The same thing happened to Barack Obama. At first, it seemed like everyone loved him, then after his popularity grew and grew, people began chopping down the tree that was his...aura, so to speak. I'm pulling for Pac in this fight, but I NEVER though he should be the favorite, and so many people picking him would have taken some of the luster off him winning. Pac should be the underdog both in the books, and the minds of most people, and him winning should catapult his scrawny ass into the boxing history stratosphere.

IMHO cotto should be the favorite. It makes sense because he is a very good welterweight champion. He is also 1-2 weight classes above the natural fighting weight of pac. I think a bigger Cotto has no choice but to DISMANTLE a smaller PAcquiao. Anything less than that would be humiliating for Cotto.

If a smaller pac wins against a bigger & stronger cotto, that would only show how great pacman is.;)

I think even at 145 catchweight, cotto knows that he can easily beat the smaller pac. You cant blame cotto for taking this fight.. if he wins this (which is very possible) hes goin to restore his career and he can land many possible megafights.

I thought this thread is about pac not being favorite anymore in betting odds. He's still the favorite 2-1.

IMHO, the TS probably meant Pac being no longer a huge favorite here in ESB forum. :think

maybe because of the latest development in pacquiao camp or pac not starting his training yet.

This is ******* propaganda. He is the big favourite for a good reason, like he was vs Hatton.

This will be an easy win. Stop with this "overcoming all odds" bull****.

Check betting sites you crackhead, he's -275 at some places.

Only among *******s is this some kind of Rocky story. To the sensible population, this is a seriously deteriorated fighter with a bad chin and leaky defense waiting for a highlight reel KO.

    ******* ALERT

-250 against Marquez in a fight he lost.
    -400 against Barrera
    -500 against Diaz
    -250 against Hatton
    -260 against Cotto

Only the underdog against what turned out to be a totally dehydrated and shot DLH.
