Pac is over rated coz he's the p4p king but loses to every fantasy fights unlike floyd who beats EVERYBODY in fantasy fights.
I rate pac as the greatest exfeatherweight to ever fight at welter, but we could start that at bantam or below. He's not overrated, shot Mosley would crush any other ex-featherweight out there, shot or not, except perhaps Barrera and Morales, and even then, he still probably gets them out of there. All his victories were't meaningless. Pryor moved up one weight class and got stopped by a contender in Young (drug problems aside), De La Hoya was worthless at middle weight besides manipulating the scale for years to even make lightweight, only guys like Duran, Armstrong, and Hearns had this kind of weightclass defying devastating effectiveness, and Pac ranks right up there with them (BUT that doesn't mean he could hang with ATG welters in their primes)
Marco Antonio Barerra x2 JMM Erik Morales x2 Diaz Oascar De La Hoya Ricky Hatton Miguel Cotto Margo Shane Mosley Yeah, he's proper ****
People overrate everyone on this poxy forum! Rios has 1 good win, and all of a sudden he is gonna knock JMM out cold. It happens all the time. Then if the fight was made and Marqez won, Rios would be an overrated glass jawed hypejob. Look at Devon Alexader. 1 minute he is the best at 140 and the heir to Floyd because he beat a shot witter and landed 1 good punch against Urango, and then he is **** and overrated because he lost to Bradley. It's just the way this forum works. Those who think he is a top 5 ATG shouldnt be given the time of day as they are clearly on a wind up or dont no enough about boxing. Manny is what he is. A solid top 30 ATG, possibly a top 20. With Mayweather he could sqeeze into the top 15. It's hard to overrate a fighter with such talent.
What makes you think I ever said the overrated Mayweather had the better resume? That would make you the idiot.
I dig that many people glorify someone who has cherry picked his opponents for the last 6 years or so. And Pacquiao was knocked out when he was fighting way below Welter as a youngster, so by my theory it isn't the same situation. I would view Pacquiao more respectfully if he actually fought a young prime contender but instead he goes out and fights 40 year olds. Now he waited almost 4 years to re-rematch Marquez when he will be 38...
