There's no doubt about it. Pacquiao is the best fighter since Duran and Leonard.

Pacquiao is greater than Whitaker, Jones and Mayweather. He jumped in weight much better (40 pounds vs. 20, 35 and 25 pounds).

He beat better fighters, also, like you can see in the following list:

Pacquiao's best wins: Barrera, Marquez, old Morales, old Oscar, Hatton, Cotto.

Whitaker's best wins: Ramirez, Nelson, JC Vasquez, McGirt

Jones' best wins: Hopkins, Toney, old McCallum, Hill, Ruiz, Tarver

Mayweather's best wins: Corrales, Castillo, Oscar, Hatton, Marquez

I just wish Pacdbest was still here so that he could savor the sweet taste of victory that he kept on predicting here, for Pac.

Even I didnt think Pac could fight effectively, above 130 (and I hated it when he was forced to go up in weight to fight MAB, then EM)

But Pacd stuck to his guns.. and now?

    He got the last laugh.

It's funny how you OLD in front of the names of Pacquiao's opponent. Morales was only 29 FYI. I can do that too. See easy. When you're going to praise a boxer don't put anything insignificant that may discredit the boxer and his opponents.

And when Pac fights, he beats up his opponent. I think that is the big difference between him and Whitaker and Floyd. These guys they win mostly on points and their opponents usually go scathe-free

morrales was only 29 but in boxing years he was ancient he was 50 plus fights in and had been a pro like 13 years, DLH wasnt just old he was weight drained and a shell of his former self, barera in boxing years should have been collecting social security already, the guy was in his 64th fight when he fought pac, and pac never decisively beat marquez, and cotto i will give him credit for that even though cotto is very good but not great, and had been mentally ruined by margo ,so i think this thread is over

If that's the case pacquiao is a grandpa now, he is gothic. he has 50+ fights and has been fighting for 15 years now. Is pacquiao OLD?

You kinda have to give Pernell Chavez as well. Even as a big Chavez fan, I know Pernell beat him. Furthermore, Whitaker has a lot of secondary names below the big ones you mentioned. They may not be names you'd recognize if someone randomly named the fighter, but they were pretty decent fighters and title holders.

Anyway, I'm not quite ready to agree yet about Pacquiao, but he is getting very close. If he beats Floyd or Shane, (at least as long as Shane doesn't seem to get old overnight) or both, then I would probably have to agree.

If you want to pick opponents apart like that: Corrales - good but not great + weight drained + personal problems; Castillo - good but not great, probably won the first fight; Oscar - old, inactive, still only squeaked a SD; Hatton - good but not great, past his prime, fighting above his best weight; JMM - about 20lbs above his natural fighting weight + old.

Even with the way you've picked Pacman's opponents apart, he still shits on Mayweather from a career point of view.

Every fighter ages differently, based on the punishment they take, their life outside the ring, their personal habits, how they act between fights, their physiology, and lots more.

Some fighters are old when they are 29. Some (but very few) are still young in their late 30s.

For whatever reason, when Morales started to decline, he went downhill fast.
