Broker Tickets (ticketmaster, buytickets etc...) started out at more than three times the face value but have way come down and will continue to fall as the fight draws closer. With the announcement of the Alvarez fight expect the prices to fall to face value and the Vegas venue not to sell out because Alvarez tickets are available for $50 at the staples center and you get to watch Morale vs Corolla as well as Mayweather vs Ortiz on the big screen. Why bother with the PPV.
Floyd's last 2 fights weren't sold out I was at both. With silly ticket prices like that against fricking Victor Ortiz that 1 probably won't sell out either.
More casual fans are into the 'sweet science' than brawl fights. If you look at the gladiators of ancient Rome, people flock the astrodome just to watch "hit and dont get hit' approach than to watch blood and fast action fights, which seems savagery to them.:deal
Nah, I've become one of those ****s i used to hate when i was younger, i'am a main/big event creature now:hey Upstairs in the bars getting ratted & squealing & gushing over boxings great & good when they enter. I'am one of those ****s that rushes up to any fighter yelping & a howling pretending i know them hoping the HBO cam is poking through into the top bars inbetween rounds:hey It's got to be a big fight for me know seeing it's an 11,000 round trip & it ai'nt cheap anymore in Vegas. Froch/Ward or Pac/Marquez & it's got to be the mex dimention for me:yep The atmospere is going to be incredible & i hope it gets up to Cotto/Margo proportions as that was one of my best nights ever at the MGM:happy
I think Mexicans will support JMM to the end. Crowd should be electric as usual..it will be "Si Si Puede" vs "Manny Manny Manny"
