I didn't realize marathon runners were punched in the head and body while running. :think

The issue isn't only stamina. Boxing also involves strength, reflexes, and recovery from being stunned by blows to the head.

Bottom line, it's not required by the sport therefore Pac has every right to refuse.

I am amazed by the relentless defence of Pac on this whole issue.

I thought the initial demand by Mayweather for random testing was a dig at Pac that would pass without much fuss but the response of his team has magnified it into a massive issue.

I understand that Pac may feel disrespected but taking into account the back tracking done by Mayweather and the room for negotiation he's shown on the issue I'm disappointed Pac isn't willing to comply with random testing.

The contradictory responses by Pac's team has left me quite confused.

Void has never required this testing of any other opponent. Who else it taking all those tests?

You do realise Olympic boxers are subjected to the same testing policies?

Yeah, and Cotto as the WW champ had every right to refuse the 145 catchweight, but he wanted to fight.

Mayweather had every right to refuse the 10million dollar penalty clause but he didn't becasue he wanted to fight.

Pac doesn't want to fight Floyd. He's ducking him to face Malinaggi LOL.

    For the same effort, yes.

But do you think Pac will have to work as hard against Paulie as he would against Floyd? :think

He could beat up Paulie and have another fight the next night!

Look, I think Floyd will beat Pac test or no test. He's simply better than Pac.

But Floyd is the only one who can break the deadlock here. Pac is completely within his rights to stand his ground because he is backed by the sanctioning bodies.

Pac had never requested a catchweight fight until he did it his last fight with Cotto.

They fight with headgear, over only four 2-minute rounds.
Plus, the fights are usually stopped as soon as one fighter is slightly buzzed.

    How is this the same?

You are all missing the point. It doesn't matter who does what in any other sport. the facts are that boxing has a set of rules and Pac is asking for them to be enforced.

AGAIN..... I think that Floyd beats Pac every day and twice on Sundays, but HE is the only one who can break this deadlock.

Oh really??? Pac just wants the rules enforcd you say.

The rules of boxing state that the WW limit is 147 yet Pac required in the contract with Cotto that Cotto couldn't not weigh more than 145. Why wasn't Pac trying to enforce the rules in that situation.

    You're missing the point.

Why does Void want Pac to fight under different rules than any other fighter?

It isn't the same but the reason we're discussing this is to dismiss or validate the premise that taking blood affects athletic performance.

I aren't missing the point, Pac is asking for the rules to be enforced which is fair enough. My problem is with the strange positioning by Pac's team.

at one point they were ok with any type of testing, then blood testing was a problem, then blood testing was ok as long as it was scheduled, then random was ok as long as their was a cut off date of 3/5 days, then when it seems like progress is being made we're back to scheduled tests with a 30 day cut off prior to the fight!

had they come out from the very beginning and made one point which they stuck with I could of fully understood but the change of stance has left me confused.

The rules of boxing allow for catchweight fights, they happen all the time.

    Try harder next time. :good
