First of all, read his prior posts to this thread. They're ALL anti-Pacquiao. He's not a random man at all.

Secondly, I did start this thread, and Morales never fought at 135 in his prime except the faded version that fought Raheem and later Diaz to end his career, with Marquez having only 1 fight under his belt at this weight so far, so while Whitaker might have trounced either, they actually NEVER STEPPED IN THE RING, so I'm not sure exactly what would happen in those scenarios.

Third, if you noticed my handle, are you serious? I have no anti-Whitaker bias at all. This thread is about RESUME. Did you read that title above? Not head-to-head. Because even with head-to-head arguments, it's pure speculation, especially when discussing fighters in different weight classes. Again, for the last time, we are discussing not if Pea could demolish Pac's opponents head to head based on a mythical proportioning of their discrepancies in weight, but rather COMPARING the two fighters' ascent through the weight classes and fighting the best available, which comes down to RESULTS on PAPER.

If you still don't know where I stand, go back to the first page and read again.

And while we're discussing longevity, Pea won titles in 4 weight classes but only really fought at two, lightweight and welterweight. Both his wins at 140 and 154 were nothing but pit stops for belts, nothing more nothing less.

Pacquiao has moved up and fought in 8 different weight classes, with 9 in the wings if he were to fight Hatton at 140 for his potential 6th world title in as many weight classes. For him to do that would require spreading thin his total amount of fights over more weight classes. Another unfair comparison, which I guess I agree with you, should be saved for the end of his career.

    nice to add.

    cliff rold from other site:

"Even granting that a large part of Pacquiao’s incredibly dominant win over De La Hoya was based on Oscar being past his best, it was still remarkable by way of style. It was mastery of a legendary type and Pacquiao is indeed a living legend at this point. His evolution from a one handed power puncher early in his career to the complete machine he’s become is a credit to Freddie Roach and a story certain to be long for Boxing lore. Not bad for a once-late replacement opponent for Lehlo Ledwaba. Think of some of the most notable former Flyweight champions…of Wilde, Canto, LaBarba, Harada…none can say they ever rode the scale to the World Featherweight title (Harada came close), the World Jr. Lightweight title (LaBarba came close), and then steamrolled a former Welterweight king (none tried). The top three men in these contemporary ratings all represent greatness, historical greatness, of some special kinds. None have done more than this man across so wide a chasm. When the old-timers say it’s not like it used to be, just smile. In some cases, it might be better. Even if the now logical Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather bout never occurs, a Pacquiao win over World Jr. Welterweight champion Ricky Hatton in 2009 would make him the first to lay real claim as a four-division lineal World Champion in history and put to rest any questions of just who has been the fighter of this decade. "

    what do you think sweetpeapac?

ive been saying this and i think i saw you write it too. that pac has no competion and didnt mind moving in different weight divison. after sasakul, his chance for a stardom and us exposure was ledwaba as a late sub. who else in that division? next nove was marco, he was a great fighter and he'll be stupid if he passed the chance. after marco, then morales, jmm and hoya. big names right there and money wise.

    Stop embarrassing yourself.

When you first broached my opening post you called all my points valid bar the one about Pac not beating the best flyweight at the time. We then went through a long discussion concerning that point, for which I'm still waiting for you to tell me when Johnson relinquished his flyweight belt.

Just because ALL my points were valid, there's no need to get sour and call me a hater. I'm not.

If you go to the classic forum and check out the posts I've made you'll see the credit I give Pac for his win over DLH.

If you check this thread alone you'll see me acknowledging things like Pac being a great fighter, Pac beating Marquez the first time round and having the second fight a draw, and mentioning the unlikelihood of a Pac-Johnson fight, saying I could agree with Pac beating the best available flyweight at the time.

And so I'm a hater? Whatever. If only everyone here would hate like me. We'd clean this embarrassing general section up in a heartbeat.

I was mainly reacting to your comment about Scientist, not about your thread where you are comparing the resumes of Manny and Pernell. Even though I don't agree with all of it.

You know the funny thing about this by the time Pacman's career is all over which is about 4 years off. which is about another 6 or 7 fights.

We will be witnessing a All Time great that most of these Yanks wont want to put in there top 10 all time.

    But say he beats
    Hatton 140
    Juan Diaz 140
maybe JMM 140 a second time

Say that happens or even something along those lines how could you possible have Pacman outside the top ten.

    I hope he beats
    hatton at 140
then PBF mans up they fight and Pacman beats PBF.

OH PLease Please happen so the gods can shut these Yanks UP.

    LOL

:lol:He moved up after Sasakul because he got embarassingly beaten down by a second rate fighter in Medgoen Singsurat, not because of any lack of competition you clown.

He hasn't had any competition in the weights he's fought at? He's missed numerous serious challenges because he's been so busy jumping around to different weights, and I believe Marquez has shown that there is, in fact, a lot of competition around the lower weights that he missed.

I understand money fights, but your points are ****ing ridiculous. Then again you're a blatant troll and always have been, so why the hell did I bother?
