True, he can only do it against bums like Castillo.

And don't give me that about Castillo being shot. Whether or not he was doesn't matter, he still carried the ring smarts he always had, which were as good as anyones. Castillo would have or should have known it was coming and either did and couldn't do anything about it or just didn't see it. Of course he saw it though. Ricky set it up with a nudge before tucking his fist in behind JLC's elbow. JLC saw it coming a mile away but couldn't stop it.

He will never be the stronger guy no matter how hard he works in this training camp. Hatton is incredibly strong physically at 140.

As far as knocking down his team-mate with a body shot goes, it's irrelevant. I'd be more concerned with that fact that in 4 rounds of sparring he was put down by super-featherweight Urbano Antillon.

That's a fairly stupid comment. A well placed body shot can put pretty much anyone down. We all know that Hatton attacks the body very well and has stopped people, if not hurt people with his body punching.

Don't think the Pacman is somehow immune to well placed rib cruncher. :deal

It was all over the net man. It came from his own camp, that Antillon put him down in sparring and won $1000 for his work.

i hate sparring stories....they mean nothing....most of the guys are supposed to just pressure and not use any real offense while serving as a punching bag....big deal if he knocks someone down

But the point is if he's concentrating on defending himself, and gets put down at the start of a sparring session while wearing head gear and 14's or 16's by a super feather, it gives an indication of what'll happen should Hatton land and land big.

OK, thanks. I have not heard of that story yet.

I've just read this report from 2 weeks ago.

It read more like a slip or something, than a solid hit.

Anyway, he better practice hard this next 3 weeks.
