Hatton rds 8-10 after walking through some nasty looking but light shots from Pacman. Hattons style makes him look bad sometimes but I saw enough early on in his last fight to think Floyd Sr will be able to make the necessary adjustments to overpower Manny.
i can't believe so many people think Hatton'll win....this is great, i cant wait to say i told you so to so many people just make sure ya'll dont dissapear after the massacre
Mayweather Sr. on Hatton's chances: "We will be ready man and I'm going to tell you something. Hatton could stop Pacquiao man. I'm telling you what I know. Hatton is going to beat Pacquiao like Pacquiao beat a dehydrated De La Hoya because that's what he was. A lot of people got blinded by that performance from Pacquiao, but De La Hoya couldn't have looked any worse if he wanted to. His stance was so wide, Pacquiao went in and landed shots at will. If you watch that fight, De La Hoya threw a few shots and almost fell down; his stance was so bad. They had his hands low and everything. People forget I didn't get to work with Ricky that long before the Malignaggi fight. Wait till you see this Ricky Hatton. He is going to be a different fighter man, mark my words. You could see a few changes in him already, but that wasn't **** compared to how he's going to look in May. Pacquiao is going to be in trouble man and mark my words, don't be surprised if Hatton stops him. Pacquiao still is not that skilled man."
Nice to hear Sr. admit that Oscar had to drain so badly to make weight for the Pac fight. If this isn't a ringing endorsement for Pacman I don't know what would be. Might as well plunk our money down right here and now. :yep
Since I picked PAC to defeat Hoya, this one is even a much easier pick... PAC by KO/TKO inside 9 rounds... .
Now with Calzaghe retiring, Hatton is the no1 fighter from the UK, and also he moves up a place in the P4P rankings. But can he take over the #1 spot if he beats Pacquiao, or will he have to settle with Calzaghe's ranking, P4P2-3?
Dan Rafael reports that the fight will be on HBO PPV. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3893668
