Hatton is clearly not shot. But I think his fans who follow him for now almost a decade can say that he's past his physical prime. But there's still room for improvement in his game, so his career is far from being over.

No...most of the 'names' Manny has fought were already shot before they entered the ring... just the pacman fanboys don't like to admit it

I love all the haters saying Pac will destroy Hatton.... use a bit of common sense... i know it's hard for a lot of you but Hatton is the most live oponent Pac has faced... since Marquez and not to mention the fact that Pac should have ANOTHER loss on his record from that fight. Plus the fact Hatton is going to be the strongest fighter Pac has ever fought and Pac is fighting at a weight he has never fought at before against a guy with decent hand and foot speed with a hell of a lot more power than Pac is used to and you are all talking like Manny is going to blow Hatton away easier than the Diaz fight.... behave yourselves. There will be a lot of facial omlette on this site if Hatton does the very possible and KO's Manny

we aint hating on hatton we just judge them as fighters. hatton is a good champ pac is an atg, you get my drift. as much as you say pac has never faced someone as strong as hatton i dont think hatton has faced anyone as fast and relentless as pac. the other factor is size, and they are not much different apart which you also favour pac, because pac has the longer reach combined with his speed and keeping the fight at distance will not bode well for hatton.

anything can happen in boxing but you cant blame pac fans for being so confident, look at his last two fights, and the amazing run he is on, plus the numer 1 p4p fighter.

Yeah... Hatton looks a destructive force when he's up against a tin can and a dehydrated shot to pieces fighter too... try to find the Ricky Hatton v Ray Oliveira fight and watch a boxing master class. Manny's last 2 fights don't count for **** because he was up against 2 punching bags with legs. This fight will be a whole lot different. As for the reach advantage point... I don't think Hatton has ever had a reach advantage in his entire career so it is hardly anything new. I know what you are saying about the speed and relentlessness bit though but Hatton proved to be a much more elusive target in his last fight (like he used to be pre Tszyu) and as the old saying goes... speed is a killer but power is an equalizer. Hatton only has to land 1 left hook to the body and he could fold Manny in half and i think a lot of people are forgetting how good Hatton is at getting around the ring.... people are talking like Hatton is going to do what Gatti did when he fought PBF and just stand centre ring and get picked off... I actually fancy Manny to win this one but the way a lot of you talk about Pacman makes me wonder if i have been watching the same fighter over the years because the one I've been watching isn't Superman and the Hatton i've been watching for 9 years isn't a slow plodding ***** puncher like Diaz

it will be competitive but i just believe pac is a better fighter. the key is how pac will react to hattons power, and wether hatton can sustain his attack, for the whole fight.

although i did not see the whole malignagi fight, it didnt look like hatton was overwelming him with punches, just bullying him with single powershots. he needs to land far more against pac because pac will be firing back with an accumulation of punches.

See, now i know your a pac fan artofwar because i have had several debates with you over this subject in the past couple of weeks but i don't have a problem with your comments because you are being a bit more subjective rather than a lot of ignorant pac fan boys/ Hatton Haters on this site.

In the malignaggi fight Hatton was being far more calculated and most of the time was beating malignaggi to the jab and spent most of the fight countering with the jab (which was wobbleing Paulie at times and we all know Paulie can take a punch) but high punch output in that fight was impossible because every time Hatton got close Paulie held Hatton like a teddy bear in an earth quake. But all through Hattons career he has had a very high punch output but i disagree that he needs to do that to Pac. Pac hasn't felt power like what Hatton carry's and if Hatton had Paulie hanging on for dear life (a guy that went 12 with Cotto who everyone classes as a monster puncher) How is a man that was wobbled by JMM going to cope with those single shots?... Just my take on things.

Like i said though i think Pac will outbox Hatton as Hatton doesn't like southpaws. But then on the flip side Manny isn't a slick boxing southpaw and hasn't been tested at the weight and didn't have a great chin at the lower weights so how will he cope with Hattons power? so in my opinion this fight is 50/50

we basically agree on the fact that a lot depends on how manny takes hattons power.if manny can whether the storm than its his fight, but if he is dragged into a close quarters war then hatton has the advantage. i think a lot depends on the referee, if he allows the mauling or not. the zoo ref hatton, the floyd ref then pac.

all in all its a great fight, i admit i am a pac fan because of his heart and style, any other fighter i would back hatton because he is down to earth just like pac.

Pacquiao warned vs Hatton’s ‘dirty tactics’

Chris John trainer Craig Christian told Australian Sport Nut site that Hatton is “one of the dirtiest fighters out there” and advised trainer Freddie Roach and Pacquiao’s handlers to expose Hatton’s dirty tactics before the fight “to put the referee on alert.” :patsch

Ricky Hatton is one of the dirtiest fighters out there? That's hilarious.
