Pffff. 7 pounds in three days? I cut 5 pound's last night in a 2 hour training session without sparring. Weight is not gonna be an issue and he ain't gonna pull a De la hoya and be weight drained during the fight.

I thought he was already on weight. Strange.

Purely guessing, I'd say that Pacquiao's overall mobility is going to be affected slightly by that little bit of extra poundage he'll be carrying at 140 in an affair like this one. Still, I don't believe Team Pacquiao intend to do as much moving as they've indicated. They have to have it in mind how vulnerable Hatton is when he's being attacked.

    Possible Hatton elbow injury?

    From The Guardian:
I did some research on cortisone and it seems it's a steroid hormone often used by athletes to deal with pain and/or injuries. De La Hoya had pains before the 2nd Mosley fight.

Mayweather used cortisone injections after his first Castillo fight
It wasn't confirmed by the Hatton camp, they don't want to use early excuses, so it's just a rumor at the moment. Does anyone know how severe the pain or injury has to be to get a corisone shot?

cortisone's nothing special if used properly. i would not read too much into that, though, if he's really injured, he might as well need some of it. overall, though, it's good to quickly get rid of minor pains also, if you really need to.

Thx for the info. So it could be anything from just a little pain to some injury, hopefully it's nothing special.

    3 days to go!!!

Here's an awesome promo video to get pumped up!

i got pac by 7rds to 5. i think ricky will rough up pac enough in the first 4 rds to make pac a little reluctant to stay near him for long. it will become a matter of hatton trying to pin pac on the ropes and unloading and pac circling the ring while scoring fast combos. ricky may get careless in the later rds in his effort to get at pac and could get dropped.

They seem to have a lot of fun up there. Are you sure it's not a tickling contest?

"I'm being for real and saying what I feel
This is the truest quote I ever wrote
From the first to the last note
Hey Pac, it's over, so quit wishing on a four-leaf clover
You got a choice to make
    You're at the crossroads
    So make up your mind
You can go left or you can go right
And can't rely on anyone else
Come May 2, you'll be uncrowned
    With your head hanging down
    And left to confess
    "The Hitman" is the best
Ain't no diggity, there ain't no doubt
Pac's gonna find out what it's all about
When you beat the old legend Oscar de la Hoya
    He was over the hill
Now it's time for you to swallow the same damn pill
So it ain't no secret and I hope you know
    It's Hitman Hatton by KO.

Well, they are a bit more serious after the poem:

And one more, a story Ricky told Mulvaney:

"A little funny story for you. We had an after-fight party at the Paris. When we left the party, my mum left, she's staggering across the parking lot of the Paris, and Jose Luis Castillo stood waiting for a cab. And my mum, she's drunk, goes, 'Jose, it's nice to meet you.' She goes, 'My name is Carol. You fighting my baby.' Jose's going, 'Oh yeah, Ricky.' And mum goes, 'My baby in June fights you.' And he's smiling and going, 'Yes, yes.' 'In June, my baby gonna knock your f------ head off.' He looked a little startled, and my mum goes, 'Only joking. He will, though.'" :rofl

"He's nasty, he's not nice to be around and I remember being there with fighters that can't eat.

"Right now, he eats whatever he wants, he will not miss a meal.

"He'll have breakfast before the weigh-in and he'll weigh in at 140lbs and he'll be happy.

"And when Manny's happy, that's when he'll be at his best."

I actually like both guys which is rare. Usually I like one of the fighters, but in this case they both seem to be nice guys.

damn you look at that staredown and you know they can laugh, hug, shake hands, and all that other **** but these guys right here know that tomorrow night they are there to hurt the **** out of each other.

There's something about that that just makes me ****ing anxious. I can't wait for this fight.
