BS would be if Pac was elevated from regular to Super Champion. But Pac won the title from Thurman and he was only inactive because of COVID.

Yea but a Franchise title designation causes the World Title to be vacated. In this situation Pac wasn't stripped and he wasn't forced to vacate, and now is apparently being reinstated as World Title Holder after a 2 year hiatus. The World Title should have been vacated and fought for by the top contenders, as was the case when a fighter was deemed Franchise Champion. Pacquiao is getting preferential treatment here. You can blame it on covid but other fighters during the last 2 years haven't been allowed to hold on to their world title for this long and then be reinstated as World Title without fighting.

 

It means nothing nowadays. Give him the belt back if it makes him feel better. Doesn’t make him champion. Just another amongst hundreds of title holders. Bout time he retired.

 

He deserves it back. He won it after all by becoming Regular Champ first then defeating the Super Champion, and he never lost it inside the ring.
