they are trying to make the fight 'more meaningful'.
    what a circus.

don't need to give him a belt to be interested in this one.

I didn't like Ugas being elevated with no fight, but still feel he earned his shot against Spence/Crawford.

It will have been more than a year since boxing returned when Pac fights again. There was plenty of time to have made a defense of his title.

Pac wasn't going to fight in front of no fans and reduced capacity. Plus he's not like 100% of the elite guys who don't have a job outside of boxing.

The guy wanted to fight. He earned his belt.

Unification makes this fight bigger and sexier. And it's not like Pac was handed his belt to begin with.

Didn't Floyd hold 2 154 lb belts for two years without defending it and never got stripped? Wasn't even during a pandemic.

Yeah he got the commission to count the Maidana match at 147 as a 154-lb title defense so he could hold onto those belts until he retired.

Yes. The fact that he won so many world championship and belts so many times that he doesn't really think about it anymore really made him look badass.

Honestly the WBA jumped the gun on elevating him to Champ in Recess. I get why they did it when Pac was in talks of fighting the like of Ryan Garcia or Conor Mcgregor in exhibitions and not defending the belt. But I already believed he was getting reinstated if his next fight was against Crawford, Spence or Mikey. No problem here for once as Ugas has been out the ring just as long.
