After watching Pacquiao's last fight, I think he had excellent lateral movement, hand speed, and defense. Pac and Jmm are tailor made for each other. This is a true styles make fights scenario.

JMM is a great fighter, and losing 7-5 (or 8-4 as I initially scored) does not mean he didn't look good.

He's certainly looked better though, but as you eluded to, JMM has a style that will trouble Pac no matter what.

He lost 8-4, it's hard to actually look good under those circumstances

It was certinly a better performance then mosley fight but i just expected pacquiao to close the show as marquez is old as **** , hasent looked the best lately and got pulled up in weight.

But like someone else said - they are just tailor made for eachother

I didn't see him slowing down or looking 'shot' at all! At first, I must admit, the hype got to me after watching the fight live on ppv, but after seeing it a few times I think pac did what he always does, excellent hand speed, punches in bunches, great lateral movement, decent footwork, great foot speed, the angles were there...but jmm knew what to expect.

I think Pacquiao has overrated footwork, and underrated defense.

some people are giving marquez those close rounds even if he was just fighting passively. pacquiao was forcing the fight most of the time and the official judges saw those efforts.

this is a great technical fight just like the 2nd fight but with lesser fireworks and drama involved.

2 or 3 fights top. after that, he would be reduced to an average or just a good boxer at best.

At least he'll have the senses and options to get out at the right time. He'll look much more impressive against Bradley, but there arent too many more fights for him beyond that. His interest seems to be waning (taking nothing from JMM who has always been a stylistic problem).
