he didn't looked good as expected from his fights a couple of years back but he performed just right against an opponent who is just looking to counter him all night. pacquiao pressed the action and succeeded with his speed and foot work and won a decision.
He looked like a smarter, but slower / slightly faded version of himself, but him and Marquez will always make for a close fight. There styles will always clash with eachother.
**** you smoking. He didn't look smarter. He couldn't even adjust and Roach had to keep repeating for him to get his lead foot on the outside of Marquez. "Marquez was just standing there waiting for me to punch so he could counter me." Cramps, sore feet, Manny Pacquiao.
scored it 8-4 for jmm. 2 of the rounds could have gone either way...so 10-2 isn't out of the question for jmm. what the judges did to him is criminal. pac fans should be ashamed of themselves for even claiming victory in that one. u don't apologize for winning.
Yeah, but the guy going forward was getting the **** countered out of him and getting hit to the body as well. atsch
Got to agree, Pacquiao didn't exactly look as terrible as one thought. I admit when I first saw the fight it looked like Pacquiao was being dominated but that was because I was expecting Pacquiao to walk through Marquez with ease. Watching it again it was closer than I first thought and a good fight overall. Sad to see many people still underestimating and overlooking Marquez by blaming Pacquiao's performance. Pacquiao looked in trouble and confused because his opponent was Marquez.
He's definitely not as he used to be, nor is Mayweather. Both May and Pac in their primes would throw in combinations nonstop. Now they pick punches mostly. Happens to all fighters with age. They're not shot nor prime stuff.
yes, i too thought he would walk thru him. jmm couldnt handle the weight with floyd. looked old, too even pac said he underestimated him.
jmm blew it. he had that shite in the bag but he slacked off when berastain said u r winning the fight
Good fight. Some close rounds, but I have Pac winning more rounds no matter how many times I watch it. Got to remove original expectations, and have sound off because that arena was extremely bias. But anyway it's over. The judges saw it as I did. JMM was up for that fight more than any other recent fight as he said himself. If they do it again, I don't expect much different a result. And I didn't see any slipping on Pacs part really. Just discouragement at not performing up to expectations.
