Clear win for Pac. Props to JMM for showing heart in this fight, but he fought dumb choosing to engage with Pac which cost him many rounds. JMM should of chose to rematch Pac right away after the first bout but ducked Pac for 4 years to fight guys like John, Jaca and Terdsak. Pac had to corner him for a rematch by becoming his mandatory for his WBC belt.
114-113 for pac. can make a case for jmm but the knockdown is huge factor. i have my scorecards in another computer but i remember that i have some 4 very close rounds which i incidentally splitted if i remember correctly.
i'd have to watch it again but when i watched it live i thought Marquez had pipped it but when i rewatched it and scored it the next day i had Pacquaio winning by 1 or 2 points.
IF i remember I think PAC in their first FIGHT ONLY WON 4 ROUNDS. AND I DID SPLIT THEM CORRECTLY. PACFAGS WILL TELL YOU A DIFFERENT STORY AL THE TIME:good
I posted earlier in this thread that when I had time to rewatch this bout I'd post my scorecard...so here it is. Rnd 1. 10-10...(unless you are an actual judge this should be an even round). Rnd 2. Marquez 10-9. Rnd 3. Pacquiao 10-8. Rnd 4. Pacquiao 10-9. Rnd 5. Marquez 10-9. Rnd 6. Marquez 10-9. Rnd 7. Pacquaio 10-9. Rnd 8. Marquez 10-9...(you could even argue this was a 10-8 round. :huh) Rnd 9. Pacquiao 10-9. Rnd 10. Pacqiao 10-9. Rnd 11. Marquez 10-9...(very close round, I thought Marquez landed the cleaner and more accurate shots). Rnd 12. Marquez 10-9. Marquez 114...Pacquiao 114. Draw! I've scored this bout on numerous occasions and this is the first time I have reached this result...I think Marquez definitely deserved a draw at the least. Like I pointed out above, round 8 could have been a 10-8 round in favour of Marquez (although I doubt the judges would ever have scored it that way)...Pacquiao threw and landed nothing meaningful whatsoever in that round, and was taking a lot of clean punches. Maybe if Pacquiao had gone into a shell on the ropes then the round may have been a 10-8...but you could still even argue in favour of that score the way the round played out.
this is intersting because it appears that many people thought Marquez won rounds 1 & 11. But I thought Pacquiao won the 1st & 11th round here, watch these slow motion videos for a more accurate scoring because watching it in real time is different because there are some things that we cant see by just watching it in real time: Round 1 - http://youtu.be/rW740sPKlQk Round 11 - http://youtu.be/LC_9SRwfIbU
youre just a hater..!!! you call Pacquiao fans as PACFAGS..!! well, Im a fan of both Pacquiao & Marquez.. so just shut up and have some respect for others and have some respect for yourself at least!!! It was a great performance from both great fighters & their 2 fights were not a robbery..!! yes both fights are very close & very tough to score & only haters think that Marquez was robbed twice!!!
round 1,7,11 decide which way this fight goes, all the other rounds are clear. To me round 7 goes to pac and round 11 to marquez, its round 1 tat basically decides the outcome, me personally thinks pac edged it hence him winning 114-113 on my card, but 114-114 or 114-113 marquez are all very reasonable scorecards, along with the first fight this was a very very close fight, you can basically make a case for any guy winning the fights or even have 2 draws.
For the record, I had Pacquiao winning both of his fights against Marquez. I scored the second fight twice and here are both cards. The first scorecard is a live scoring. My second card more accurately describes my opinion of the fight. Live Scoring Pacquiao Marquez 10 9 9 10 10 8 10 9 9 10 10 10 9 10 9 10 10 9 10 9 10 9 10 9 116 112 Second Scoring Pacquiao Marquez 10 9 9 10 10 8 10 9 9 10 10 10 9 10 9 10 10 9 10 9 9 10 10 9 115 113 I see Pacquiao winning this fight, period. It was, however a close fight. I do not see how people claim Marquez won this fight clearly, when there were some close rounds in the fight. If you have one fighter winning a lot of the close rounds, still, the fight itself is close. I have been a fan of boxing for something like 23 years, and I am only 26. I am a historian of the sweet science and usually do most of my posting in the classic forum. I am a fan of both Pacquiao and Marquez. I believe that stylistically Marquez is all wrong for Manny, but Manny is still able to get the better of him, be it on knockdowns or whatever. That says something great about Pacman. This third fight is one that I have wanted to see for a long time. I think Manny will win, again by decision. I think it may be a little more clear this time around.
