The funny thing is that in more than one of those gifs, JMM is actually trying to counter but is getting hit hard for his troubles. He leaves wide himself open when he counters. That's part of the reason I don't believe that his style is all that "perfect" for dealing with someone like Manny. Those punches would put lesser men down.
Are you talking about the right hook? He couldn't unless he moves to JMM's left side w/c he clearly doesn't in most part of their 4 fights. As Pac kept moving clockwise along with JMM, the only thing he could do was throw those 1-2 punches to JMM. It's just a matter of time when JMM perfectly times him with a very strong right. But with it was Pac who was unconsciously delivering his face to JMM's right fist and JMM knew that for long already.
I1T2BOX, watch this gif See what happens if Pac throws a right hook on JMM's right side. It's not a 1-2 punch from Pac, but the same thing happens. That's because Pac is always moving to JMM's strong side of his right whenever he attacks. Like I've been saying, the positioning is very critical. Pac would always lose to JMM cause he always move to JMM's right side. This has always been the bait Pac never overcame since the 1st fight.
Pac has spent most of career moving in that direction and being pretty successful at it. He's habituated himself to it and he's comfortable doing it. Your right that it's often critical to move in the other direction to avoid the right hand or keep your opponent in front of you, and JMM is great at exploiting that. It's not a cardinal rule though to fight that way if your a southpaw. You can get a lot done from either angle. This content is protected A lot of it is timing and who gets off first. You'll also get more leverage on the hook from this angle, but it's riskier. We've been over this. Manny usually attacks while moving to JMM's left. I posted numerous videos of that. Most of the time he fails is because JMM pivots out. Roach and Manny aren't stupid enough to miss out on the fact they need to turn the other way. In any case, re-watching the tape, it's dawned on me that anytime Pac does move towards JMM's right in that fight, it's to follow up and make his leftward turn costly by having Manny end up all the way to his right, which is advantageous for a southpaw.
JMM prepared for it and acted accordingly throwing the perfect shot at the perfect time. This content is protected
Exactly these guys act as if its a Miracle Juan survived that round, the man survived each and every knock down handed to him from Pacquiao we already know that, he has also gotten up each time to come back and take over the fight, somehow Manny forgot about that, and thats what got Manny knocked the **** out.
