Pacquiao-Marquez Vs. Mayweather-Ortiz : Which Lands Bigger PPV Numbers (?)

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by AmericanPsycho, Aug 30, 2011.

  1. Which show will end up with more PPV buys? The Mayflower-Ortiz undercard is absolutely stacked. So far, Arce is expected to be on the Pacquiao-Marquez joint. So anyways, vote here, right now, or forever hold your peace!

    Mayweather-Ortiz.

It has a strong undercard but Morales -Maidana did under 50k lets not act like by having Morales on the undercard (theres a reason hes not headlining)

too many variables can ruin Pac Marquez #'s. The biggest is Boob arum screwing up with a really crappy undercard and UFC on the same night.

Is Saul on the ortiz/pbf card? If Canelo is on the card it will be huge.

a Mayweather fight is easy money. I make $$$ on all his fights. they build his handpicked opponents up like this will be a test. If ortiz couldnt whip lightweights Peterson or Maidana, what makes anyone think he will give floyd fits?

Pac beat Marquez twice. nobody wants a 3rd fight except Marquez. another fight i will make money on. since the amigos at work always bet for a mexican fighter no matter the odds.

    floyd vs ortiz
morales & canelo on the undercard and on mexican independence day, I think it does 1.5 mil something like that.
I expect pacs fight with marquez to do a mil

The Ortiz fight should sell more because it'll be a better overall card in light of all the fighters involved. In fact, if it doesn't do better than the Pac fight, then it will be a failure.

    Well....

I'm buying Mayweather vs. Ortiz even though it sickens me to fatten May's pockets.

I'm not buying Pac vs. JMM even though I like them both.

being that we all will know the may-ortiz #s before the pac fight, arum will have a # to work with when he makes his inflated ppv number announcement up for pac-jmm
