Mayo on WGHN: Pacquiao may fight Hatton while Mayweather gets back into shape by Josh Hakala | MLive.com Tuesday December 09, 2008, 8:08 PM Grand Rapids Press columnist David Mayo was in Las Vegas to witness Manny Pacquiao's destruction of Oscar De La Hoya and now talk has surfaced of Floyd Mayweather potentially coming out of retirement to fight Pacquaio. Mayo tells Ryan Terpstra on WGHN-AM 1370 (Grand Haven) that Mayweather Jr. apparently wants his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., to train him for a fight against Pacquiao. Mayweather Sr. currently trains Ricky Hatton, who also could potentially be Pacquiao's next opponent. "It might suit Hatton and Pacquiao to go ahead and make that fight ... in Wembley Stadium, which is the idea, trying to draw this super mega-live crowd ... and the winner gets Floyd. With Pacquiao fighting in England, you run the risk of, if not an eliminated Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, certainly a devalued one, or Mayweather gets turned to Hatton instead ... so there's a number of things that could happen." Don't think it will be wise for Pacquiao to fight Hatton then Mayweather right after him, this sounds ridiculous. Marquez/Diaz/DLH/Hatton/Mayweather all after one another?, I think Pacquiao will take an easy stay-active fight next then Mayweather or Hatton after that. It's only logical that a break/easy fight is needed in between megafights like that.
very possible&most likely probable but pac will be feeling invincible right now&hes a warrior so i wouldnt be surprised to him in there with ricky or floyd next.
