Pacquiao has a great chin.. and IMO opinion floyd also has a great chin. I'm not gonna split hairs as to whose is better. In all fairness if they ever fought it's definately gonna go the full 12 rounds.. and if manny manages to win 2 or 3 of those rounds then he's done very well IMO and could be proud of his achievements.
You are overrating Floyd, so JLC should be the GOAT cause he won many rounds against Floyd. I favor Pacquiao, If Floyd manage to not kiss the canvass in this fight, despite losing, he has done very well, and should be proud of his achievement.:good
Well considering one has never been stopped....Obviously Mayweather. Yall must have misse the Iron Chins production.
I picked Manny based on what I've seen of the shots he takes. I honestly don't think Floyd was really hurt by too many of the shots people say. The Zab shot didn't look like it got him that bad. It caught him by surprise and he recovered very quickly. The second Mosley shot buckled him, but he recovered almost instantly. Floyd has a great chin, but I think Manny's is slightly better. If you think it isn't debatable, to quote Roger Mayweather, "Ya'll don't know **** about boxing!"
Mayweather wasn't a full blown WW either when he fought Oscar at LMW people seem to forget that. He was weighing under the WW limit *on fight night* for his WW fights. He could have stayed at 140 rather then fight DLH at 154. Matter of fact Pac has weighed more or the same as Mayweather has on fight night during his fights at LW, LWW, WW and LMW. He weighed 144 on fight night vs Morales at Jr LW, 147 on fight night vs Diaz at LW. Mayweather weighed 146 on fight night when fighting Judah and 149 when he fought Baldomir at WW. Pac weighed 148 vs Hatton on fight night at LWW, and 148.5 vs DLH his first fight at WW.
It isnt debatable. If you think Floyd has a better chin your stupid or a nuthugger. You can't have a great chin and barely ever get hit like that. It doesn't work like that. It takes conditioning to aquire a 'great'' chin. And conditioning requires you to get hit. There absolutely no evidence Floyd has great chin. None, zero. That video footage Vec ARrow posted is laughable. Most of those punches barely touched him. That's a testament to his defense, NOT his chin. He's got an average chin until he proves otherwise, which he hasn;t.
Exactly, look at Amir Kahn he upped his conditioning and strengthened his legs then all of a sudden he went from glass jaw to taking on Maidana one of the harder hitters in that weight class fighting through a KO moment. The best conditioned fighters are usually the ones with the best chins. As there legs and body doesn't give out on them as easily when they get hit. Manny and Mayweather have legendary work out routines. There conditioning is top notch. They both can take punches because of such great conditioning.
Also for as great as people say Margarito's chin is. He also is a big WW who would come in on fight night weighing 160pds. Mayweather comes in on fight night weighing 146. How great is Margarito's chin if he were to face guys around his weight rather then WW who he is routinely bigger then.
Draining to make weight will have a negative effect on punch resistance. Look at Cotto @ 140 getting wobbled and KDed by bums, then moves up to WW and takes flush shots from Mosley without flinching. Pacquiao struggled and failed to make weight twice in his career - both times resulted him in getting KTFO in 3 rounds by dudes the size of my mother. Now he's taking uppercuts from Margarito, Cotto and Clottey with relative ease. As for the poll, I haven't seen Mayweather hit enough to assess his chin. Even those shots Mosley landed on him in rd 2 were not that clean.
