Sure, buddy. Keep telling yourself that. I've been to 20+ separate main fights since I started following boxing, none of which featured Pac.

You really think Floyd has more of a say so then moonves or even Espinoza? If they wanted all access or other promos they would do it. Floyd's job is to fight not to run showtime.

Again, how do you know the hold up was floyd? Not to troll but I'm sure, as I'm also sure that you agree that Floyd can't comprehend a well written official contract. These contracts aren't a 1 page lay out with money signs, they are stacks of papers and the ones that are involved in reviewing are the lawyers.

Look, we all know you have a agenda against Floyd. But your reaching a little too far. I want press conference and the works also, but the fact that you will buy the fight and talk about it, has already proven successful in a promotion stand point.

Manny and PAC were probably the least involved in negotiating, its the promoters and networks that are bickering back and forth.

No one wants to spend extra $$$$$$$$$$ on publicity as many fear Floyd will still find a way to back out

No, but Floyd's timing killed the opportunity for a legit, full fledged media tour. Floyd was the hold up. Haymon, as his advisor, would have explained everything in under 2 hours. Floyd took his time. Period.

Not the biggest blunder but it falls terribly short for a fight of this magnitude. Floyd vs Canelo was promoted perfectly and it reaped the benefits. This fight won't maximize its full earning potential for numerous reasons but it will still shatter every record for ppv and live gate.
Also I believe that the lack of promotion is dictated by the public's demand, Las Vegas Hotels selling out at absurd prices within 15 minutes gives a clear indication of whether public interest has fizzled or not.

I wouldn't care if it didn't get promoted at all. I'm not making any money off of it, well maybe 4 cases of beer :) All I care is the fight is going to happen.

Ok man, you explained the hold up, then you semi agree with me but then say "BUT its his fault". Just say it man, you just want to troll Floyd. You give Floyd too much credit. Like PAC, he is haymons puppet. Haymon pulls his strings, Floyd Is to dumb to determine what will benefit a fight. The fight being delayed is a result of arum and haymon battling it out to fatten their pockets.

Look. Moonves forced Floyd to take the fight. I am willing to bet Showtime was ready to exercise a termination clause in the contract. Don't for a second believe that there is no termination clause that can be activated if the PPV numbers don't warrant the guarantee.

This is how it most likely went down. Moonves told Haymon and Floyd that it was Pac or take a hike. Haymon and Floyd said okay. Now Floyd, being the fighter, can decide to fight or not. So in a way, the decision hinged upon Floyd.

Now, the meeting between Floyd and Pac @ the Heat game, that was Floyd needing to see for himself that Pac was just some small ass dude... and I think once he approached Pac and saw that he dwarfed him, he finally gathered the confidence to move ahead.

This is my only complaint. 24/7 or all access episodes would be incredible and only add to the intrigue.

In terms of promotion, this fight harkens back to the old school days where the names and repuations of the fighters sold the fight instead of TV documentaries and nationwide city tours and whatnot.
