I'd rather see Pacquiao v Marquez 111, than watch Mayweather do the 100 metre sprint backwards.

i will not be surprised if fraud will rematch hatton or drag some SFW to bulk up for a fight after he potshots jmm to death on the 19th then retire claiming he's an undefeated chimp..

Pacquiao is incorrect when he says it depends on the outcome of his and FMJ's fight. FMJ's fight is in the bag where FMJ is the sure winner (it's FMJ's tuneup), whilst his fight to me - he's the underdog. So it's more like either: FMJ vs. Cotto (65%) or Pacquiao vs. FMJ (35%).

It's unfair to compare his chances in his fight with Cotto against FMJ's fight upcoming fight.

I think this fight will happen. I'm not a PBF fanboy at all here, but I disagree with people who say he should have waited a day to fight the winner of pacquiao hatton. From a tactical pov, coming out of a 2 year retirement to fight the p4p no.1 (the beast pacman) would be foolish. He's picked a very good opponent, and all those who believe Pacquiao can beat Mayweather should also believe Marquez has a chance (I think the majority population favors the second marquez/pac fight in favor of jmm).

The second he announced he'd be fighting JMM, there was almost an uproar "why not pacman?" And its the press that will be the key to pac/pbf. From every possible angle, there will be pressure to fight each other. For this history of boxing, for the monetary gain, for their individual lagacy's and the monumental pressure from the press (should they both do the business in their upcoming fights), pbf/pac will happen.

That said, cotto and JMM are pretty dam big speed bumps in the way...

Mayweather said he doesn't need Pacman and Pac has 3 loses already. And said no way he would take a 50/50 split

If the Money is Right Mayweather would fight my grandma, and I think she gives Money a harder fight than Pac. Pac is off balanced, no defense, can't adapt in the ring, doesn't throw straight punches, horrible footwork.
