What dose Pacquiao have going for him?

Southpaw. I keep saying this because it's true everyone has trubble with them. Mayweather has a record aganst them to show this is not a signifent advantage. Mayweather's main combo is a right lead and a left hook. What is the best combo for fighting a southpaw? A right lead and a left hook.

Power. I'm not saying Pacquiao has nothing on his punches, but He's not the same puncher he was up to 140.

Throws a lot of punches. Mayweather is at his best under fire. He'll avoid everything with the expection of the first few shots, and not all of those will be scoring blows. Than counter, slowly picking away at Pacquiao.

Throws from all angles. If we were in a room and talking about this. I'd be wondering how you can say that Pacquiao throws from all angles with a stright face, I know I'd wouldn't be able to. He throws wide which will make it even easier for Mayweather to counter him.

Also add to the fact that Mayweather and Zab had been sparring in the gym since they were kids and they knew each other very well.

No, his 'gifts' are still very much intact. See the official scoring of the Marquez fight for evidence.

All Zab did was go behind a flinging jab before landing the straight left behind it, threw lead lefts, threw straight lefts to the body, countered with a right hook when Floyd jumped in, and circled to his right slowly, before Floyd suffocated his minimal movement with educated pressure. He was not doing anything spectacular in there that Pacquiao isn't capable of. Zab Judah is not an elite world class fighter, and Manny is. He's far more mobile, durable, energetic, and unpredictable.

A big WW (Pac is not), with big shoulders (Pac does not have, with great speed (Pac has), excellent footwork (Pac definitely does not have), good handspeed (pac has), and the ability to push Floyd around on the inside (Pac is horrible on the inside-not talking **** *******s, just saying-he has 0 inside game), and great timing (Pac has average timing, JMM has much much better timing to give you an idea), and a lot of versatility (Pac mos def not THAT versatile).

This only went away after Manny showed up-

Pac does not have the arm length to get inside, nor will his footwork control the tempo, thus he would find it difficult to get to Floyd.

As much as it's hard to swallow,THIS STYLE DOES NOT HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BEAT FLOYD.

Floyd has had more trouble against southpaws than traditional infighters. It's not a necessary requisite.

Castillo has done better than any Mayweather opponent. He's not a lefty but an infighter

Maybe stylistically, and you can count DLH as well, but he gets hit flush and hard more often against southpaws.

De La Hoya did not have success. He got beat easily (10-2/9-3).

I love how people bring up Castillo I, which was 10 years ago and say Floyd hasn't changed as a fighter but when anybody brings up Pacquiao-Morales I, which was more recent, then they say Pacquiao is way better than he was then.:lol::patsch

(not to mention the fact that Floyd was injured for Castillo I)

they didn't win as many rounds off of Floyd though compared to Castillo

    how I see it is

    Castillo
    Judah
    Oscar

Oscar and Zab won the same number of rounds from my cards, but Zab won his rounds more convincingly than Oscar. Oscar makes up for this as he doesn't get dominated later in the fight the way Zab did.

Floyd never looked dominant in that fight. Single jabs were making him flinch and fluster all over the place.

I agree with that, I guess I just subconsciously rule Castillo out because of the rematch. There are still important lessons to be learned from those fights.
