This content is protected The shoes he wore caused this, I am not excusing him but I do understand what its like to have this **** on your foot especially your right foot, thats the foot where all your weight sits if your a right handed fighter, and to push off that foot just to even jab or move this had to hurt like a mother ****er when you consider the sweat getting into that, the sock rubbing on the raw skin. Honestly I am not going to call him a coward or a *****, he still made it through the fight, though he didnt fight as we expected, I can see why in this picture above. I challenge any of you to fight Manny Pacquiao with this, Hell fight a club fighter in a six round match, Nah **** it try out heavy sparring with this spar for about 4 rounds and tell me how you feel, I promise you if any of you have had a blister like this and had a fight or sparred with it, hell even hit a heavy bag with it, you would have a better understanding. So is the blister... see above
Blisters are a *****, i've had pretty bad ones doing a few rounds of footwork drills. He could probably have planted his legs, threw good left hooks and jabs as that consists mainly pivoting of the left foot, pivoting on the right foot to throw a right hand would be pretty hard though. Although I would have thought the adrenaline would dull the pain of the blister. We've seen fighters fight on with broken hands, jaw, ribs, nose, cuts so a blister isnt the worse injury you could get in the ring. These guys should realy invest in some proper socks and shoes...surely this sort of problems would show up in a 12 round spar?
I agree broken hands ribs busted ear drums etc.... But when you cant even sit down on your shots, Obviously thats where your going to come up with your fight, you have to sit down on them shots and work, Even if he were to sit down and shoot left hooks he still has to slide out of the way. I am not excusing him, But I understand why he would feel that way, look at his foot in the picture, I mean **** that just looks painful, We have heard other fighters say they had blisters in effert to excuse their performance but we havent seen it in any for of a picture or video here we have. Now sure he asked for the fight to be stopped, Naz wouldnt allow him to, and Mosley did fight until the end, so really nobody can call him a coward or a quitter...
Not true, when your shifting your weight and turning your shots over your foot pivots, in other words there is nothing he could have done to make that pain go away. you have raw skin rubbing on sweaty socks, that **** hurts like a mother ****er, Imagine rubbing Hot sauce in your eye..... it burns like a mother ****er, well sure there is a difference between your eye and a foot, but thats the only way I can describe it. And I am sure plenty of amateurs here have experienced what its like having a blister like that, Alot of times these happen in camp... unless a fighter throws on a pair of shoes that are not quite broken in, which also could be the case here... who knows. what I can say is that when you have a blister like that its hard to continue to get your shots off cus every time you try something it hurts like hell.
...yeah, that looked painful. Somebody should also post the video where Pac also asked Freddie to stop the fight when he claimed he had blisters on his feet against JMM.
He never asked Freddy that, you know that, I would like someone to post pictures of those Blisters he had with JMM.... :think
Apparently not, But here is something thats ****ed up regarding Boxing fans when it comes to this topic. Vazquez quit in his first fight with Marquez, doesnt get that jacket of a quitter to wear around why? Hopkins quit when he flew out of the ring in his fight with Robert Allen, Doesnt wear that same jacket of a quitter. Vitali Quit and yeah he gets **** on for it by people who call him out on it, But those who still back him, well I am sure a few have had harsh words for Mosley... it just seems to me that certain fighters get a pass when it comes to this while others do not..... as fans of the sport we are ****ed up and biased and cluttered with loads of double standards....
